Vietnam Airlines Grows Its Business

Vietnam Airlines has come a long way since it started out in 1956 with a fleet of five small aircraft. Last year, it took delivery of five Airbus A321s and signed a contract to buy ten Airbus narrow-bodied 321s of which the first plane will be delivered in 2006. This July it signed an agreement with Boeing to purchase four 787 Dream liners. The expansion of Vietnam Airlines fleet which also includes new Boeing 777s and Airbus A321s state of the art craft for regional travel is right on schedule.

In the first six months of 2005, the airline saw its passenger numbers increase by 25 percent, to almost 3 million. Over a third of those passengers are foreigners, and their ranks grew this year as well, by over 30 percent. Setiap sekolah akan melaksanakan Ujian Sekolah, dan masing-masing sekolah memiliki kewenangan tersendiri untuk melakukan pengaturan terhadap pelaksanaan dan penyelenggaraan ujian sekolah di tempatnya (sekolah) masing-masing. Sebagai contoh soal ujian sekolah yang akan di gunakan di masing-masing sekolah yaitu menggunakan bentuk soal yang berbeda antar sekolah dan yang bertanggung jawab atas penyelenggaraan ujian adalah sekolah tersebut.

Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) prosecutors have demanded the Jakarta Corruption Court sentence former Maritime Security Board (Bakamla) head of planning, Nofel Hasan, to five years' imprisonment on Wednesday.

Ki Hadjar Dewantoro, original name Raden Mas (Lord) Suwardi Surjaningrat (born May 2, 1889, Yogyakarta, Javadied April 26, 1959, Yogyakarta), founder of the Taman Siswa school system, an influential and widespread network of schools that encouraged modernization but also promoted indigenous Indonesian culture.

Dewantoro was born into a noble family of Yogyakarta and attended a Dutch-sponsored medical school but failed to complete the course. Active in the nationalist cause, he belonged to a faction favouring direct action and the use of Western methods to destroy the power of the Dutch. He was also a member of the Bandung chapter of Sarekat Islām (“Islamic Association”) and a founder of the Socialist Indische Partij (“Indies Party”). An article he wrote during this period, “If I Were a Netherlander,” published in the Indische Partij‟s De Express, led to his exile to the Netherlands between 1913 and 1918.

In the Netherlands he became converted to the idea of using Indonesian cultural traditions to cope with the problems posed by Dutch colonial rule. He felt that education was the best means to strengthen Indonesians, and he was deeply influenced by the progressive theories of the Italian educational reformer Maria Montessori and by the Indian poet and philosopher Rabindranath Tagore.

The first Taman Siswa schools were established in Java in July 1922. Instruction, carried on informally, emphasized traditional skills and values of Javanese life, particularly music and dance. Western subjects were taught, too, in order to help students cope with the demands of modern life. Overcoming initial official hostility, the Taman Siswa schools had spread throughout the archipelago and were by the late 1930s subsidized by the Dutch colonial government. Based on traditional Javanese concepts, the Taman Siswa schools appealed primarily to those segments of Indonesian society termed abangan, in which the Islamic faith is less deeply entrenched. Dewantoro continued his leadership of Taman Siswa after the war and upon his death was acclaimed a national hero.

Nowadays, the police have been applying the new regulation concerning the use of seat belts. In European countries, this regulation has been applied for a long time. However, this new regulation has become controversial and is an interesting topic to discuss. Here are some arguments.

The use of seat belts has been proven to reduce the risk of injury or death in an accident. Sealt belt has become a standard component in cars. The research shows that most car accident will cause an injury to the head. Frequently, drivers or the passengers driving without seat belts die because of this. By wearing the seat belts, the injury will not happen since belts restrain our body on the car seat when the accident happens.

Unfortunately, many cars, especially the old ones, don't have the seat belts. This is because the traffic conditions in the past were unlike the recent traffic conditions. The designer of old cars did not consider seat belts as an important part. Besides, the driver wearing the seat belt will think that they are completely safe so they may drive carelessly. They are safe, indeed, but how about safety of other?

The seat belt is only one of the ways to reduce the risk of car accidents. It doesn't mean that we are completely safe. In short, our safety depends on ourselves.

Once upon a time there live as neighbors, a bear and a rabbit. The rabbit was a good shot and the bear, being very clumsy, could not use an arrow to a good advantage.The bear was very unkind to the rabbit. Every morning, the bear would call over to the rabbit and ask the rabbit to take his bow and arrows and come with the bear to the other side of the hill. The rabbit, fearing to arouse the bear‟s anger by refusing, consented, and went with the bear.

The rabbit shot enough buffalo to satisfy the bear‟s family. Indeed, he shot and killed so many that there was still lots of meat left after the bear and his family had loaded themselves and packed all they could carry home. However, the bear was so greedy and evil that he didn‟t allow the rabbit to get any of the meat. The poor rabbit could not even taste the blood from the butchering, as the bear would throw earth on the bloods and dry it up.

The poor rabbit would have to go home hungry after his hard days work. The bear was the father of five children. The youngest boy was very kind to the rabbit. The youngest bear would take the meat outside and pretend to play ball with it, kicking it toward the rabbit‟s house, and when he got close to the door he would give the meat such a great kick that it would fly into the rabbit‟s house. In this way the poor rabbit would get his meal unknown to the papa bear.

“Cire perdue” which is the French word for „lost wax‟ is a process of wax casting used in making metal sculptures.

When a model is coated with wax, the solidified wax is encased in a two-layer mold of plaster or clay. It is then melted or otherwise removed from the mold, and metal is poured into the space; where the wax had been. Oh, I almost forgot, after cooling, the mold is broken to free the metal object. Kak saya mau menanggapi artikel zenius soal lintas jurusan, disana disebutkan semua testimoni yg berhasil lintas jurusan ke ips. Apa untuk yg lintas jurusan ke ipa bisa mengandalkan zenius online untuk media belajar sbmptn ipa nya? Berdasarkan pngalaman untuk sbmptn soshum sngat efektif untuk kelulusan ke jurusan ips. Tapi untuk materi sbmptn ipa blajar dgn zenius nampaknya kurang efektif materinya atau bgm? Dan apalagi materi zenius untuk sbmptn ipa pun sangat banyak. Thx

Sebenarnya itu karena sepertinya realita di luar sana lebih banyak anak IPA yang lintas jurusan ke IPS daripada anak IPS ke IPA.. Entah mungkin karena banyak anak yang nyasar masuk IPA dan baru menyadari minat mereka di ranah Soshum di penghujung SMA atau mungkin karena ga sedikit anak IPS yang udah jiper duluan buat lintas jurusan ke IPA.

Sebenarnya ada aja sih pembelajar zenius yang tadinya anak IPS trus nyebrang ke IPA. Tapi karena memang jarang, cerita mereka juga sedikit. Ada siswa Zenius-X (bimbel zenius) yang tadinya anak IPS trus berhasil Teknik Metalurgi. Ada juga nih salah satu cerita pembelajar online zenius yang berhasil lintas jurusan dari IPS ke IPA:

“Sebelum tahun ajaran baru, gue memang udah berencana pake Zenius untuk persiapan SBMPTN, dan akhirnya gue yang memang dari IPS mulai ‘fighting’, belajar mapel IPS, bahasa, dan matematika dari kira2 Agustus/September sampai UN selesai. Tapi selesai UN gue mulai banting setir belajar IPA dan pilih prodi IPA pil. pertama juga (gue ambil campuran) >< Thx Zenius!"

Oh begitu ya kak, terimakasih atas tanggapannya. Bagi kami yg tidak bisa mengikuti bimbel zenius-x, dengan media zenius online saja apa cukup untuk menguasai materi sbmptn ipa? Apalagi materi di zenius utk sbmptn ipa sangat bnyak, apa semua materi tersebut yg disajikan di zenius online tepat sasaran untuk menyelesaikan soal sbmptn?

Sebagai perbandingan aja nih, siswa2 yang jurusannya emang IPA selama 3 tahun, belum tentu beneran belajar selama 3 tahun itu. Bisa dibilang, ga sedikit siswa IPA yang pemahaman IPA nya masih awut-awutan.

Mereka malah baru serius belajar IPA pas baru ngeh kalo ternyata tingkat kesulitan soal SBMPTN itu beneran berbeda dari ujian sekolah ataupun UN yang mereka hadapi selama ini.
