This restaurant is NOT for couples on a romantic date. The music is too loud, the people watching is too distracting, the interiors are wowing, and the views command abandoning one's table in a rash to snap that one more perfect photo. The visit starts... with a lush lobby and a high speed lift that takes you up 62 floors in a swoosh. Ears still clogged, you are greeted by gorgeous welcome girls who escort you to your table in a huge hall cleverly divided into intimate cosy zones, all surrounded by floor to ceiling windows and a glass ceiling. Despite the sanctions imposed by Russia on foreign food imports, only 3 items were not available on the extensive menu: buffalo mozzarella, asparagus and foir gras. I am appalled by the reviewer who chose a burger from the menu. Seafood hot starters could be a meal in themselves: Wasabi grilled prawns, crab legs and other shell fish are superb in freshness, taste and presentation. Salads have fresh and crispy greens (where do they come from?) and delicate dressing. The mains include, just to name a few, all usual cuts of beef, rack of lamb, black cod, australian baramundi, halibut. The service was superb, one meal followed another seamlessly. The waitress had little English but menu contains English and we had no difficulties at all. The wine list has great choices served properly. People watching was fun. The restaurant had probably the highest concentration of gorgeous russian women under one roof, which proved a bit distracting to some of our party. Every half hour or so, the restaurant will turn up the music which is a sign that they are about to open the windows exposing the most spectacular views of Moscow. It's quite exciting and provides a welcome wave of fresh cool air. In conclusion, the food and service are superb, the atmosphere is fantastic, the views are spectacular - an absolute must in Moscow. Don't go to Sixty. The reception was rude. When we got seated they said, we can only have the table for one and a half hours, the food is too expensive to be told that. Service is awful, we got served a little bit of... water in the beginning, and that was it. The waiter never came by and asked if we wanted more. Luckily I brought some water myself, so I survived my stay here. It was also not possible to book a table over the phone for lunch, which is weird. There was also a camera lady forcing us to take a picture. We said no, but she insisted on taking a photo and didn't tell us what she needed it for, we assumed it was for their Instagram. She even asked us to stand up and move more together while we just had received our food. We told her no, but she did not understand. After a while, she left, but she managed to take one picture of us while we were sitting down, and after lunch was over, she came back and asked if we wanted to buy a framed photo she had taken of us. We said no thanks. I'm happy I didn't go here in the evening because it would have completely ruined my evening. I don't recommend this place. More

There are a tables near the windows, but it's impossible to reserve these tables in advance. It's so strange, because if I book a table in advance I'd like to have a choice and garantee the table near the window with view to Moscow. Why... do I need a reservation at all? We booked a table and came to the restaraunt 30 min.later than the table was booked. Hostes said that our reservation was cancelled because of our late visit. They didn't call us and didn't ask us to confirm our visit. It's Moscow, a lot of traffic jams and it's impossible to be in time. And the last one- there is no table in non-smoking place. Many people smoke during the dinner and other guests have to smell this. The restaraunt should have tables for non-smoking people! There should be a choice! This restaraunt was much better when it was opened 2 years ago (I visited it in august 2011). Now it has become much worse! It seems like night club. not restaraunt. More

We've celebrated my wife's birthday there. I specifically mentioned this in the order and loudly declared this once more when we've arrived (it was Friday, 15.01.2016). No Birthday cake and/or song for us. I've specifically told the waiter once more before we've order the desert.... No result. Awful. Furthermore, we've being promised a discount on my premium (platinum) Mastercrad, but instead we've being over-charged for USD 50!!! Unfortunately we didn't keep the bill (check) - our mistake. My girlfriend and I decided to try out the "famous" sixty restaurants. Actually I could never complain about reatauranrs of the Ginza chain. Usually they would have friendly, more or less skilled and especially English speaking waiters. This general rule obviously does not apply on... Sixty. The restaurant itself is really beautiful, we liked the interior design, the view and just the overall setting. The waiters in there though are just worse than peasants. We had around 5 different waiters serving us, constantly switching and not knowing about what the other one is doing. Instead of sending an English speaking waiter to our table, we had someone not speaking a single word, just taking to my girlfriend in Russian, and not giving me the feeling of being involved in any way. There was not only a lack of language skills, but also a lack of any kind of education. This person was the worst waiter I have had for a while. I asked for extra wasabi when our sushi came and the wasabi arrived when the sushi was gone, the 2nd order of drinks arrived after we were done with dinner for a long time. He was not smiling, not charming, not good looking, not caring about his customers at all,b just overall the lowest performance of a waiter. I've been eating in a lot of high class restaurants all over the world and I am absolutely willing to pay a lot of money if I get a return on my investment. I feel myself capable to judge that sixty is just overrated and overpriced for what you get. The service is worth nothing at all. The food is just average with too high prices. Actually the dinner was fine. And we are normally good spenders. But: 1) the waiter tries to sell you the most expensive food and much much more than what you really can eat 2) we paid more than USD 240 per person and we asked... for a vodka after the bill and we had to pay again for it. 3) And, sincerely, Mr Novikov, is unacceptable to put a person who doesn’t speak english at the concierge. Pre-booked a table by the window to enjoy the view from 60th floor. Upon arrival the staff impolitely denied having made such a reservation. Very bad start of the evening. This is disappointing, since the view is really the main attraction here. Food is decent,... service is medium, despite plenty plenty of staff, and hence a somewhat overpriced experience. One can see that a lot of attention is paid on presentation. Starters were nice, but portions are merely samples. Fish was overcooked, decently presented. Most of this has been said before on this site, but it's worth reiterating just how awful this place is. Yes, the view and the decor are great but the positives are far outweighed by the negatives. The door staff are spectacularly rude. It was... clear that even though we had a reservation they didn't think we were fabulous enough to eat there. Our waiter was totally inept. We waited 45 minutes for our drinks, our starters and mains all came together, and, after we sent out mains back because we wanted to eat our starters first, the same mains came back later on when we were ready for them, stone cold. They hadn't even bothered to reheat them. We sent them back again and complained to the manager. By way of an apology he brought us some free desserts - only we hadn't eaten our mains at that point. The whole evening was a total farce and not cheap either. This restaurant may not be extremely expensive by Moscow standards but for £100.00 a head the food simply isn't good enough and the service is unforgivable. AVOID! More

Ruski gets 5 stars for one of the best views in the city. As a restaurant, it gets four stars for the food. Especially if you take advantage of their occasional deals, it’s good value for the buck. In terms of service I would give... it 2 stars - largely due to the classic pompous attitude of front desk staff and their archaic reservation policies. If you are late by 20 minutes they won’t seat you even if they have ample space available, nor will they call you to see if you are running late. I understand if the place is full, but this holds true even if it’s empty (similar to Sixty). If you have a walk in, they’ll mostly likely won’t seat you by the window even if the place is empty. Waiters and bartenders provide descent service. More

For views of moscow, this canno be bettered. On the 85th floor with all round glass windows, make sure you go on a clear day and, if possible, get a window table. From here you can see all the way out of the city. Setting... is trendy. Do not expect haute cuisine however, the food is tasty and good value and I had no complaints but, really, it is about the view. More

Absolutely worth at least one visit. Food was great, choice good without trying to be everything to everyone. Table staff know how to look after diners without being intrusive.

However, the Moscow fog gave us 0 possibility of the view. I was invited there by my Muscovite girlfriend. Clearly the view is impressive, live piano music and the food is really good (and Russian). In fact, up until the end of the diner, I was seriously considering giving them the maximum grade and leaving a... very positive review. However we had a nasty surprise. In order to book the table (by phone) my girlfriend had to deposit a sum of money (more than 200$ with her credit card). This was unusual for us but not absurd in the sens that this restaurant is regularly fully booked. What was totally absurd is that at the end of the diner they told us that we ate for around 100$ and that they could not give us back the difference, so de facto doubling the price of our evening. I mean I come from a country were an excellent dinner costs more than 200$ and I would have agree to pay such amount for this anyway because it was of good quality. I’m not shocked by this price but rather by the lack of honesty, they NEVER said in advance on the phone (nor written on the website) that we couldn’t get the deposit back, and my girlfriend is Russian so I don’t believe in a “misunderstanding”, it was pure CROOK. And the manager was down right rude. He didn’t enter into consideration, claiming it was well indicated. I’m now on a computer and I have being reading their website since more than 20mn and I still haven’t find any info about this “200$ threshold”... More

On the 86th floor this Russian style restaurant serves local and international dishes. Both fish, meat and pasta dishes are of excellent quality and have a clear local character. Some of these dishes are - as we were told by locals - also the traditional... ones. Professional and efficient staff serving it and making it a special spot where we enjoyed the delicious food with stunning view over the city. To be recommended ! More

Good starters, average drinks, too much salt in soups and main courses; a tasty and juicy lamb cutlets, and a nice looking, but dry lamb shank; fine service, and noticeable prices. Go there for the breathtaking view of Moscow, but not for a food.

We came to Ruski restaurant to celebrate our anniversary. The impression was spoiled from the very beginning. Our table was booked for 8pm. We had to wait for it for 45 minutes in a bar. Then they gave us a table in front of a... hot open oven. It was very uncomfortable to seat there as it was too warm. We asked to change and they moved us to another hall which looked more like a canteen with loud music and no ambience. I ordered raspberry kvas (a Russian drink), and they brought the drink which looked strange like a suspended matter and tasted disgusting. When I complained they tried to persuade me that this is how the drink supposed to taste but in the end agreed to exchange it. They brought me the same drink from a different barrel which was tasty. So initially they served me some semi-rotten leftovers from an old barrel....obviously they have bad quality control. Food was ok but nothing impressive. To conclude, there are much better restaurants in Moscow. The only thing that distinguishes the place is the view. I would not recommend the place for those that want to good good service and ambience. More

As much as I PERSONALLY want to give them 1 star, It wouldnt be a fare review. Food - 3/5, Depends on what you order, its either tasty or average, in the worst case - food poisoning (which my wife got) Service - 1/5, Depends... on who you gets, Our waiter was very pushy and very rude. Location - 5/5, It is on the highest skyscrape in moscow, very beautiful view. Price - Quite expensive, Depends though on what you order, some is above average. Its was not worth my money! When I was done eating, the waiter tried to push me to order a maindish and dessert. I replied that was my maindish and that i want to order a drink instead, HE LEFT! He really dissapeared. He never came back to us until the end. Instead another waiter came and I ordered the drink from him and after a looooong waiting a waitress came and delivered me the drink. When I finally asked for the bill, the waiter asked if I wanted to tip, (even after the POOR service I politely said YES). He then typed in as much as he WANTED to get tipped (There is no rule that you need to tip in RUSSIA and they NEVER expect any tip, It is just a polite gesture if the service been good) I told him that I rather choose myself how much i want to tip. He then said its either this much or nothing. So in the end I gave nothing. He was so upset he threw down the bill in the table in front of me and said "as you wish" and went away. I was shocked and surprised. Never ever in anywhere in any restaurants in RUSSIA ive been treated like this. I was so shocked I had to complain somewhere. The problem is no one could speak nor understand english. So they took up their phone and started google translating. 2 hours later after getting home. My wife started feel bad, dizzy and started to puke very much. She got obviously food poisoned from the food! More

We have been last week for the first time at Ruski. I did a table reservation before so we got a very beautiful table in one of the rooms in the corner with 2 different views, where you have the Federation Tower, Mercury Tower and... others view + the Kremlin view. We were at 19:00 for the dinner, so Moscow by night was marvelous. That room was good because is not central and the kitchen is not there, so you get a pleasant and quiet stay there. Everyone from the staff, starting from the 1st floor to our waiter (Irina I think), did a good job. Our waiter helped with tickets to the observation deck(it is a must to go there while you are here!) and while we were on the roof, our delicious food was prepared. The food was tasty and the red wine was nice. In the restaurant, a lady was playing live music on a piano, which was fantastic! In conclusion, I have been impressed on the service we had and for sure I will visit again this restaurant on my future Moscow visit. More

The food is of a high standard. Music plays a little too loud... for my liking, but it is also trying to appeal to younger clientele.
