Solved: Is there a hack that lets students unlock my locke
These tests are important for placement in the following years. As any teacher would know, it is important that we monitor them while they take the tests. There is evidence however, in the classes I teach, about how students complete locked assignments before they are unlocked. Is anyone having the same question/issues?

I don't know about student hacks for the timestamp but canvas is sort of dumb about how due date times are handled. When you setup the assignment you are probably using the Due fields to set that up. What you need to do in addition to that is put in the time right below that when it stops being available.
Unlocking an Assignment in a Locked Module
I am confused as to why you would have that particular setup. I am not sure why (because of due date) the assignment has to be in a module as opposed to just in the assignments. I am not sure, but you could try also adding the assignment in an earlier module - the time when students could actually see it and keep it in the other module as well.

In this Canvas release (20 April), External tools using the submission_type_selection placement have an updated interface in the Assignment Submission Type field. On the Developer Keys page, an LTI Registration option is added for admins. At the Account and course-level, the Grading Schemes page interface is redesigned and allows archiving schemes.
