The Best Journey of My Life

There is nothing better than the emotions and feelings one can receive from setting out on an adventure. Journeys help us to forget about our everyday issues. That is why I want to tell you about the best journey of my life.

It started at home as I began to pack items for a journey. I was excited because my parents and I were going to Thailand, the most interesting place to me. I could not imagine what it would be like.

The first experience we had when we got out of the plane to enter Thailand was the tropical, wet, hot air that permeated the environment. We arrived at our hotel on the south of Phuket Island. Beauty seemed to be all around us. From the one side of the road there was the lush greenery of the tropical forest, from the other there were turquoise waves of the Andaman Sea.

We decided to spend our first days on a cozy seacoast and take a rest from a tiresome trip. The weather was wonderful. The sun was shining and the water was so warm, placid and limpid that we could see our shadows in it. I had the impression nothing else existed in this world besides us, nor the cares of everyday life nor urban fuss. We were enjoying every minute of our rest, slowly sipping coconut milk through a tube straight out of a coconut. The days were changing from one to another with new, bright, unforgettable emotions and impressions.

We wanted to pass one day away on motorbikes, studying the island. Our trip took a whole day and we managed to bike the half of the island riding along the coast. The views we saw on our journey showed us another side of local life. People were in a hurry going to work or attending other business. The traffic in Thailand is extremely busy and noisy. A lot of people ride motorbikes, which is a distinguishing feature of Thailand.

All the way long, we made breaks to taste the delicacies of the local cuisine in snack bars. I enjoyed Thai food immensely with its extraordinary combination of sweet, sour, and spicy flavors. Sometimes the dishes were so spicy, that tears streamed from my eyes.

We also decided to diversify a bit, and go to less touristic parts of the island. Our island was covered by steep hills. The picturesque view of the tropical jungles and endless spaces of the sea with many adjoining islands, and the beauty and splendor of local nature was opened to us. I was overfilled with the sense of infinite freedom and peace of mind. There was the impression that nothing is necessary in life except this place and moment.

It was a truly sad realization when we knew we had to travel back home. The whirlwind of emotions and feelings swept over my mind: this is completely another world, with its climate, people, food, traditions, and customs that charm and dip you in the extraordinary atmosphere of calmness and composure. I remember it now with freshness and understand that it was the best journey of my life.

My life has been a journey of growth and learning. From a young age, I have always been curious and eager to explore the world around me. I have had many experiences that have shaped who I am today. Growing up in a small town gave me a sense of community and belonging while also allowing me to develop a love for nature and the outdoors.

My education has also played a significant role in shaping my life. I have always been a dedicated student and have worked hard to achieve my goals. I have learned valuable lessons about perseverance and determination, and I have been able to apply these lessons to other areas of my life.

My life has been a journey full of ups and downs, but overall it has been a fulfilling and meaningful experience.

Routine of My Daily Life

I am a student, and I have always been passionate about learning. My daily routine starts with waking up early in the morning, and I usually wake up at 6 am. I get dressed and have my breakfast, which generally includes cereal or toast with some fruit. After breakfast, I spend some time reviewing my notes and studying for my upcoming exams.

I then head off to school, where I spend most of my day attending classes and participating in various activities. One of the most important moments in my life was when I received my first acceptance letter from a university. It was a moment of pride and accomplishment, and it made me feel like all of my hard work had finally paid off. Another important moment that made me incredibly proud was when I received the first prize in an inter-school science competition. I lost my little brother in 1982 at age 22 in an accident at my parent’s home. Robbie was taking down a C.B. antenna and it struck a high power line that ran into the local General Motors plant. Developmental Psychology is the study of human growth during childhood, and throughout an individual lifespan. During the development of an individual, Erick Erickson’s eight stages of life theory can be applied. Erickson’s Psychosocial Theory has eight stages and “unique development we go through life. At each stage, a unique level developmental task confronts Individuals with a crisis that must be resolved. According to Erikson, this crisis is not a catastrophe but a turning point marked by both increased vulnerability and enhanced potential” (John W. Santrock). Erikson’s main focused was to see the development of n individual’s social and physical context and relationships with others during Erikson’s eight stages of life. The eight stages of life is: Trust versus mistrust (Infancy 1 year-olds), Autonomy versus shame and doubt (infancy 1 to 3 years-olds), Initiative versus guilt (early childhood 3 to 5 year-olds), Industry versus inferior (6 year-olds to puberty), Identity versus identity confusion (10 to 20 year-olds), Intimacy versus isolation (20 to 30 year olds), Generativity versus stagnation (40 to 50 year-olds), Integrity versus despair (60 and onwards). Each of this stages can be applied to any one’s life but depending on their experiences, challenges, and interactions will make impact their identities to be different from others. Although I have not fully experienced life I will be applying Erikson’s eight stages of life to my life.

My Journey In My Life

My parents had always planned to have a baby girl in the family, but instead, God received them with their first two boys. Although it was not what they desired having, healthy babies were always something they were grateful for, but they never gave up on wanting a girl to be part of their lives. When I arrived in this world, my parents had acquired me with all girly objects. The thing was that being surrounded by all boys made me have the same interest such as playing video games instead of with Barbie dolls. Furthermore, as I got older I started to separate from my brothers because they had to work and I had to be strongly dedicated to my academics as well as helping my mother with chores. Going to school and coming home to hear the same question every day of what is my career pathway that I am pursuing is overwhelming. The only thing I was certain of in my life is that I had a devotion to increasing my knowledge. I joined the adventure trip believing I was just going to help build a house and have fun rock climbing, exploring, and white-water rafting. I slowly realized that I would learn so much more. Adventure West Virginia taught me life-long lessons that could help save not only my life one day, but maybe even one of my best friends or a random stranger I had never met before. I believed, like most high school students and people in general around the world, that at West Virginia University I was going to find a party in every direction I looked with many of my own peers drinking alcohol. The perspective view I had before the trip and after were completely opposite. I found out on the trip that I can find parties if I feel the need to, but overall there are plenty of activities to do besides partying and drinking. I originally thought that I was going to struggle heavily to write the amount advised for the journal entries at the end of every day.
