Memorable Day of My Life: 120 Words

Last month, our school arranged a trip to the Taj Mahal, Agra. The beauty of the Taj Mahal seemed to have no parallel.  It is made of white marble on the bank of the river Yamuna. The garden in front of it has tall cypress trees, colourful flowers, and rows of mountains. Many precious gems and stones are seen set on the tomb.

I found in the Taj Mahal the artistic and cultural heritage of India. Every stone of this building tells the story of the true love of Shah Jahan and Mumtaz. The white marble structure unrolled before me a new world of beauty. It is, indeed, matchless in beauty and grandeur. That’s why it is considered one of the seven wonders of the world. I was greatly charmed by its beauty. I felt breathless for a white. It was undoubtedly the most memorable day of my life.

A memorable incident is an incident which leaves an everlasting impression on our minds. The most memorable incident of my life is when I got an opportunity to exhibit my talent on stage in front of a huge audience. I always dreamt of becoming a singer. As a kid, I used my toothbrush as the mike and treated my dolls as my audience.

I was enrolled in a vocal training course in an eminent singer’s singing class and from there, based on my performance I was selected to display my skills at the Zee Sa Re Ga Ma Pa. Initially, I was a bit nervous, but got over it soon when I heard the tune. My performance was well received and the audience acclaimed me with their applauds and kept yelling “once more”. The incident made me feel on top of the world.

A moment which is sweet lasts long in our memory. I distinctly remember the day. My H. S. examination was over and I was having a relaxed time. One day, after spending the afternoon with my friends, I returned home.

My parents were waiting for me. Sister also came running. She was carrying a big envelope in her hand. They all seemed to be very excited and their faces bore reflections of animated joy. My sister shouted that there was a good news for me in the envelope and she would not tell unless she got a heavy bakshis.

After much cajoling, I could get the letter. Lo and behold! It was the admission letter from the I.I.T, Kharagpur. My joy then knew no bounds, I did quite well in the joint entrance examination. But to get selected finally in the highly competitive all-India test was something none could be sure of. In fact, I was a little tense to know the result.

Parents blessed me for my success. Neighbours also came. They all congratulated me again and again. I was lost in golden dreams. At last, I was going to join an institution of international fame! It was the happiest and most memorable day in my life because my future career got a definite direction that day. But that happy day taught me a lesson, too. I made up my mind to work hard in order to be successful in my career.

I can say that they are the happiest moments of my life. I will be telling you about one of the happiest moments of my life. I feel very nice to enumerate this moment of my life.

I was studying in class 10th at that time. It was announced in our school that there is a district-level competition of quiz and poster presentations. It will be involving several schools’ participation. The notices regarding the participation of students in the competition were distributed in every class. I was very excited to take part in the poster presentation. I enrolled my name for the competition.

  • Process of selection for the competition – The team that had to represent our school for different competitions was to be selected in the school itself. The first barrier was the selection in school. I was very happy when I got selected for the school team that had to represent our school in the district competition. The presentation has to be given in a group and therefore the final team had been finalized. There were four members in the team including me.
  • Pre-Preparation for the competition – Every team member presented their innovative ideas on the topic and lastly after summing up those ideas I prepared the poster. We had prepared three posters on the topic. We made a lot of effort to make our presentation the best one.
  • The day of the competition – finally the competition day arrived and we were a little nervous too. We have been taken to the destination of the competition by school bus. The teachers were also accompanying us. We performed our best and delivered the presentation beautifully. I was the group leader and therefore I was more nervous about the results. It was about the reputation of my school. Finally, the competition was over and the results of the competition were declared. It was started by announcing the third prize winner.

My heart started sinking down. Finally, I could not believe it when it was announced that our school has bagged the first prize. We were dancing with joy. I was very happy to make my school proud. Moreover, I was happy because the idea of the presentation was my own. The overwhelming joy of that moment cannot be expressed in words.

  • Award distribution event – The winning participants have been invited the next day with the whole family for prize distribution and dinner. This was more exciting for me. I went to the destined place and I along with my team was awarded by the District magistrate. It felt very nice to hear the name of my school at the first position. I handed over the trophy to my vice principal. My parents were very happy for me. We had dinner and enjoyed that evening beautifully with my family and group members. Later I and my team members were praised by the whole faculty of the school including the principal. This news and pictures of the winning teams were also published in the newspaper.

My father was very happy for me and therefore he promised a tour in summer vacations as a reward for winning. We had enjoyed that moment very beautifully. I feel very happy whenever I remember that moment in school.

Your chance of acceptance, your chancing factors, extracurriculars, how should i describe a life event in my essay that prepared me for college.

So I'm drafting my college essay and I've got this life event that really impacted me and I think it shows I'm ready for college. But how do I describe it in a way that's compelling and not just telling a story? Any advice from those who tackled something similar?

When you're describing a life event in your college essay, it's important to focus on reflection, rather than merely recounting the event. Think about how this experience has shaped your perspective, influenced your goals, or contributed to your character development.

Start by setting the scene to engage the reader, then swiftly move to express how this event was pivotal in your personal growth. Show rather than tell; for example, if you're writing about how you overcame a challenge, detail the steps you took and the resourcefulness or resilience you displayed with active descriptions and action rather than a passive explanation. You want to make it clear why this event makes you a strong candidate for college by connecting it to attributes like determination, leadership, or a passion for learning. Remember to close your essay by looking forward; explain how the event has prepared you for the challenges of college and beyond, and how it will inform your contributions to the college community.

The Event That Changed My Life Essay Example

Everyone has gone through events that significantly changed their life. It changed the way they viewed themselves and how they view others. Some might have been impacted emotionally and prefer not to speak on certain things until they are ready to. I am one of those people. My dad passing away changed me because it forced me to grow up, it made me independent and left me emotionally unstable for life.

My dad passed away when I was young, I was only 7. I had just recently moved to the U.S from El Salvador. I didn’t know any English, nor did my mom. My dad was our only resource and we depended on him to be able to adjust to this new life. We only spent about  3 months together, and unexpectedly he left us all alone. With no help, no way to be able to rely on anyone, I had to figure it out and learn English to be able to help my mom communicate with others and to be able to get around. I needed to find ways to get the most basic tasks done. I didn’t even know how to use technology which made everything even harder. Little by little, I kept on learning to get around on my own, and eventually, I was able to translate and complete paperwork for my mom. I was able to help her, Whenever she needed me I was there. My mindset and maturity level was way too high for my age. I didn’t have time to enjoy my childhood and worry about where my favorite toy was. I had to worry if I was able to help my mom get through this loss and ways to make her life a little bit easier. Slowly I was forced to grow up.

I had to take everything seriously, I felt like I didn’t have time to stop and enjoy my childhood. I felt like I couldn't rely on my mom because she was always at the hospital making sure my dad was ok as well as working. She had enough to deal with that I didn’t want to be added to that. I started doing everything on my own. I would do my homework however I could. I would try to improve my English by myself, I would take care of myself. I would clean, take myself to the bus stop. Over the years that increased and I learned to do new things such as cook, learned to use the internet as well as technology, fill out paperwork, translate, pay bills online and so much more.I can say that most of my family members rely on me to help them with many things. I no longer depend on anyone, I tend to do everything alone even if it's hard to accomplish it.

His passing took a long time to accept and still to this day, I can’t fully accept it. Since I was so young, I didn’t take some time to grieve his passing. My brain blocks all those sad and bad memories and makes it hard to remember anything. Sadly, I have no memory of him because we were apart most of my early year and once we were able to be together as a family he passed away. That reflected on me and made me feel different from others, I don’t have friends, I don’t talk to anyone and I don’t like to show my feelings. I feel robbed from being a happy kid with lots of memories. It’s an unbearable pain to know that he isn’t here anymore and nobody can make it feel better. Part of me is missing and It hurt’s to know he wasn’t in one of the most important days of my life, which was my Quinceanera. I can’t even wake up and tell him Happy Birthday or Happy Father's day. He won’t be able to see me grow up and reach all my goals and milestones. I would have loved to know how it feels to be loved by a father figure. I have accomplished so many things this year and I just know he would have been so proud. It makes me happy to know and be told by my family that he was a person with a big heart and genuinely was an angel. The only difference now is that he is an angel, my guardian angel.

Many have gone through experiences that hurt them and changed them for better or for worse. I truly believe that anything that happened is just preparing you to become stronger and improve you as a person. My dad's passing changed me for the better. It made me who I am today and I am thankful for that. I learned to survive and get through one of life's toughest obstacles.

An Important Event In Your Life (Essay Sample)

Table of Contents

Introduction

What experiences changed your life for the better (or worse)?

The sample paper below shares an author’s take on a memorable event (or two) that transpired in his own life. He describes how these experiences made him feel and what he took away from them. He emphasizes that even though these were brief moments from the past, he continues to apply the lessons he learned from them to this day.

Do you have a happy event from your own memory bank that you want to write about? Let us help you with your paper with our essay writing services .

An Important Event in Your Life Essay

We don’t really make it a point to remember every detail of our day. When the next day comes, the previous 24 hours become a blur. But if something unexpected or remarkable happens, it can be memorable for the rest of their lives.

I am sure that everyone has an event that is unforgettable, some so much so that they would rather forget the memory because it triggers old wounds. There are good memories that regularly make us happy when we talk about or share them with people. On a more positive note, there are events that teach a certain lesson and end up becoming a fundamental life conviction for someone.

Life has so many twists and turns. We don’t always know what’s around the corner. This paper seeks to narrate two important eventï»żs that happened in my life, which continue to have a significant impact on me to this day.

Recalling a Significant Event in My Life

I remember spending 10 days in Missouri Relationship of Understudy Chamber’s late spring authority camp in 2005. I consider it one of my most life-shaping experiences. Those ten days were a series of the most helpful experiences of my journey.

The opportunity came through our Understudy Committee at school, which I joined during my senior year. When I first attended as a Level 1 camper, I was overpowered by other very dominant and outspoken campers. I didn’t know how I would fit in since I was slow to warm up around new individuals.

We were then assigned to one of 26 unique chambers. I was in Chamber ‘M’. That week transformed me from a new shy student board member to a person who was confident and assured, even in my first year in student council.

The most highly-awaited event that we mounted was the Olympics. Each chamber met up and took part in various recreations. This was the point at which our council first empowered me to step outside my comfort zone. I was able to discover, from that experience, how powerful collaboration can be, and how to best maximize people’s skill sets. A highlight of that day was also the show. Every committee performed their comedic version of a well-known song before the whole camp.

While I am, by nature, an intensely competitive person when motivated, I understood that night that it did not make a difference who won. All that mattered were the memories made and stories that would be told years from now.

Another Very Important Event

I also remember how I longed to ride a plane for the first time when I was in high school. I wanted to know how it felt to be suspended in mid-air and not have control over the trajectory. I also admired the structure of a plane. To me, it resembled an enormous hawk with its huge wings extended.

Airplane riding fast on asphalt landing strip before flight in bright sunny morning

I finally got my chance one day. After entering the airport, purchasing a ticket, and checking in, I boarded the plane. The seats were very comfortable. We were taught how to put on our seatbelts and were instructed to do so before take-off. When the plane took off, several passengers shrieked in delight. A flight attendant distributed lemon juice to avoid nausea, which I eagerly accepted.

After an hour, it was announced that we were about the land. It was so exciting to see the landscape from up in the clouds. When we touched down, I was even more eager to tour my destination. I left the airport happy and grateful. It was indeed one of the most unforgettable firsts of my life.

I have many more cherished life experiences, but these two top the list. What’s in your top two?

Regardless of how long ago they happened, our fond moments will always be in our core memory bank. They will bring to mind joy, nostalgia, and happiness; and we’ll remember them as if they just happened yesterday. Take time to revisit the significant events in your life today. Such things will inspire you to make more beautiful memories that will make for grand anecdotes one day. May your memories bring you joy, life, and peace.

Interesting Event In My Life (Short Essay Sample)

While I can think of many events that I can remember and narrate by heart, one stands out to me as an experience that taught me a very crucial life lesson.

During my freshman year, I had to move to a new school. The thought of making new friends excited me, but the idea that some of the students may not find me likable also made me extremely nervous.

On my first day, I kept my head down and focused on my school work, out of fear that I might make a mistake. Surprisingly, over the next few days, several people from class made the effort to befriend me. It gave me the confidence boost I needed to be myself around them.

These people eventually became like family to me, and we spent our free time together all the way until senior year. Parting ways for college was heartbreaking because we didn’t know when we would see each other again.

I will always be grateful for the moment these people initiated a friendship with me. Most people wouldn’t spare the new kid a second glance, but they took the leap of faith.

What Are Examples Of Life-Changing Events?

An important event in your life can range from light and funny to deep and profound. It could be the day you meet your best friend or the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. It could also be the day you chose your university or when you figured out what you want to focus on for your future. It could also be that summer you finally learned how to bake or when your parents surprised you with a graduation trip as a gift. On the other end of the spectrum, it could also revolve around the death of someone you held dearly to your heart, or when you stopped talking to a close friend for two years after falling out.

What Are 3 Important Life Events?

  • Getting that pivotal grade that will bring up your total average is a momentous occasion for students as it makes graduating a certainty. It also marks a valuable accomplishment in your season of being a learner.
  • Finishing university is a feat that changes you for the better because it fuels you towards an exciting yet unknown future. The fact that you are about to enter the real world as a prepared person is thrilling and nerve-wracking.
  • The death of a loved one is a bittersweet experience because it will make you miss the dearly departed terribly. It is a time of understanding and embracing grief.

Life is a beautiful journey filled with a myriad of experiences, each one unique and transformative. One such happy incident that left an indelible imprint on my life was a serendipitous encounter with a stranger at a local library, which later turned into a life-changing friendship.

The Unforeseen Meeting

One quiet afternoon, engrossed in a book, I was interrupted by a stranger’s query about a philosophical text. The initial annoyance quickly gave way to an engaging conversation that spanned from literature to life’s complexities. The stranger, named Alex, was a Philosophy major, and our shared interest in understanding life’s intricacies sparked an immediate connection.

The Profound Impact

The chance meeting with Alex was not just a fleeting interaction. It evolved into a profound friendship that enriched my perspectives about life. Alex introduced me to diverse philosophical ideologies, encouraging me to question the status quo and develop my critical thinking skills. This intellectual stimulation was a refreshing departure from my routine, fostering personal growth and broadening my worldview.

500 Words Essay on Happy Incident in My Life

Life is a beautiful journey, punctuated by moments of joy, sorrow, triumph, and defeat. Among these myriad emotions, the ones that we cherish the most are the happy incidents, those serendipitous encounters that leave an indelible mark on our lives. One such incident in my life occurred during my college years, which not only brought immense joy but also significantly impacted my life trajectory.

The Unplanned Trip

It was the summer of my second year in college, a time of exploration and self-discovery. A group of friends and I decided to embark on an unplanned road trip to a nearby town. The spontaneity of the trip, the thrill of the unknown, and the camaraderie among friends were exhilarating. Little did I know that this trip would lead to a happy incident that would change my life.

The Unexpected Meeting

While exploring the town, we stumbled upon a local book fair. Being an avid reader, I was drawn to the myriad of books, their pages whispering untold stories. As I was engrossed in a book, I bumped into a stranger who happened to share my enthusiasm for literature. Our conversation flowed naturally, from our favorite authors to the influence of literature on society. This unexpected meeting with a stranger at a book fair in an unknown town was the happy incident I had been unaware I was seeking.

A New Path Unfolds

The stranger was a professor of literature at a renowned university. Our shared passion for literature led to a mentor-mentee relationship. He introduced me to various literary theories and perspectives that I had been oblivious to. This encounter not only enhanced my understanding of literature but also inspired me to pursue a career in it. I switched my major from engineering to literature in my final year of college, a decision that was met with surprise and skepticism. However, I was confident in the path I had chosen, all thanks to the happy incident at the book fair.

The Lasting Impact

Looking back, that unplanned trip and the subsequent encounter at the book fair have had a profound impact on my life. It not only brought me immense joy at the moment but also shaped my future. Today, as a literature professor, I often recount this incident to my students to emphasize the role of serendipity in life.

In conclusion, life is an unpredictable journey with its share of happy incidents. These incidents, no matter how small or insignificant they may seem at the time, have the potential to change our lives in unimaginable ways. As John Lennon once said, “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” So, embrace these happy incidents and let them guide you on your path.

That’s it! I hope the essay helped you.

Essay on Happiest Day of My Life in 500 Words

Below we have provided Happiest Day of My Life Essay in English, suitable for class 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 & 10.

“ Happiness does not depend on what we have; it depends on how we feel towards what we have. We can be happy with little and miserable with much.” ~ William D. Hoard

Fighting with our friends is a now and then activity. But what is even more common? Having arguments with our parents. I am going to tell you about an episode that happened in my life when I was in the 10th standard. I used to go to my tuition classes from 5 pm to 7 pm every Monday to Friday. One evening, when I was walking down the stairs of the tuition centre, my friends and I decided to stop and eat ice cream. I knew my taste buds were about to be delighted!

After finishing my ice cream, I bid farewell to my friends, took an auto and reached home. I could see my mother standing at the gate and my father about to start the car. My mother’s eyes were watery. But I could sense that she breathed a sigh of relief the moment she saw me. As soon as I entered the drawing-room, my mother and my father walked in behind me. They were now looking at me angrily.

They started shouting at me. They asked me why I was late and why I hadn’t informed them. My parents said that they were extremely worried about me. My mother told me that she couldn’t stop thinking that something terrible had happened to me. My father reminded me that in a city like Delhi, where the crime rate is so high, I ought to be more careful and responsible. I felt irritated and agitated by their sudden outburst.

I still remember the exact words that I uttered out of my mouth, “When did eating an ice cream become such a big crime? Why do you have to overreact all the time? I wish I didn’t have parents; maybe then I would’ve been entitled to some freedom. It is impossible to live with you.” My parents turned silent, and I went stomping into my room.

The next day my father told us to get into the car, but he didn’t disclose where we were going. Everyone remained silent for the whole trip. In about 25 minutes, the car came to a halt in front of an orphanage. I did not know what my father had in mind. We all made our way into the orphanage, and my father told me to interact with the kids there.

All the kids at the orphanage were very welcoming and warm. None of them had any parents. A lot of them told me their stories. Reshma, a girl of 10, said to me that her mother died while giving birth to her and she never saw her dad. She was brought here when she was just a baby.

An orphanage is not the most amusing place. The rooms there were small and cramped. They did not have an air conditioner or even a cooler. None of them had been to a restaurant or an amusement park. They rarely got a cake or chocolates to eat. None of the toys that they had was in good condition. Sneha, another girl at the orphanage, told me that there were many nights when she felt lonely.

She told me, “Not one day has passed when I haven’t missed my parents. I would give anything in the world to be with them for just one day.” I realized that the things we take for granted, they dream of them. I walked out towards the main gate and saw my parents talking to the caretaker. I had never been happier to see them. That day I learnt the value of having parents, the importance of having a family.

I ran towards my mother, hugged her and burst into tears. That day was the best and indeed the happiest of my life. I realized that my parents would always be there for me. They would stand beside me through thick and thin. Having parents is not simply normal; it is a blessing which not everyone gets. I apologised to my parents for the previous night’s behaviour and thanked my father for teaching me this lesson.

My father told me something in my ear, and I quickly ran towards the car. I opened the trunk and retrieved a big box of chocolates and candies. My mother also came to help me with the other package which had crayons and colouring books in it. I distributed these things among the children at the orphanage with my own hands. I can’t possibly describe how happy and delighted they were.

  • How do you celebrate some happy events?

Possible answer 1 for the above speaking cue cards

I can remember many happy events of my life and out of those, I would like to talk about the event that I can still remember vividly regarding my success in the board exam. The moment I heard that I had been awarded a scholarship based on my performance in the board exam, I became the happiest man in the world. This was indeed a very happy moment for me as it is something I was looking forward to achieving and the news made my parents quite happy and proud.

I spent almost a month with great anxiety regarding my result publication. I started speculating so many things and many of them were negative. I could hardly keep away the tensions about my upcoming result. The result was so important that my college admission would mostly depend on it. I could not sleep well in the night before the result publishing. I think this is a common anxiety for students and I was familiar with this type of anxiety. However, this particular exam results game me more nightmares than any other time of my life. The result was published at around 11.00 am and I found that I did exceptionally well. I was so relieved and happy that I literally shouted. Then I hurriedly came back to our home and gave the news to my parents. They were happy too. My father bought sweets and my mother gave it to our neighbours. I felt excited, happy and relieved. At that time I was about 15 years old. It happened in our hometown called (… say the name of your hometown…)

Possible answer 2 for the above speaking cue cards

In my face, I feel a glow whenever I remember the day I went to the International trade fair with some of my friends. That was my first International trade fair visit and this was such a happy experience that I still feel a great joy reciting the memory of this event. It was January 1998 and that time I was in my first year of college.

Until I finished my college, I was kind of a newborn lady, who had never visited any places without her places of her local area. After I got admitted into the college, I started exploring the world and the amazing things that invite people like us. One day I planned with my friends that we would visit International trade fair. This might seem like a very usual and banal event for others but to me, that was a really exciting thing to do. Later on, we did as we thought and finalised our visit to the fair. After break period at college, we escaped by the back door (As a side note, I would like to mention that I’d no previous record of escaping school or college before). We were five in members and we hired a taxi to reach the trade fair. There wasn’t enough space to sit on the back side of the taxi and the taxi driver gave a suspicious look at us. That’s why with a fishy smile we took the decision that one of us would sit in front of the baby taxi with the taxi driver. It was a funny decision but there was no alternative to us and we enjoyed it.

After few minutes we reached the fair and then collected the tickets. We were thoroughly enjoying everything we did that time. We entered the fair and took a deep breath to ease ourselves. We were kind of overwhelmed to observe the vast area with hundreds of shops and stalls. People were all around us and we felt like somehow we have come to a fairy land. Wherever we went, I was feeling so excited, everything was totally new to me as a grown-up lady. We took lots of photos from different views, purchased few interesting things within our limited budget and roamed in the whole area of the fair. I forgot my usual area, boundaries and the same thing I do almost every day and felt a happiness that I missed for a long. We spent almost 4-5 hours in the trade fair and at last returned to our home in the evening. We returned home by bus and I was so happy that I felt like discovering a new continent.

How to answer this cue card ?

“ Describe a happy event of your life ” is an example of cue card topic that gives a candidate a wide range of options to pick from. You are virtually free to talk about any event that you think you would be flexible to talk about. On the contrary, the topic like “ Describe a famous writer in your country ” narrows your option. You can’t just pick any writer and start talking about him. For the later topic, you need to think about such a writer and give some factual information about him.

The cue cards that give you wide options are usually easier to talk about since you won’t have to wonder a lot to pick what you would talk about. For this cue card i.e. “ Describe a happy event of your life ” think about an event in your life that made you happy. If you take it from your life rather than making it up, you would be able to give more details and extend the topic.

Following are some of the ideas you can take as examples of happy events of your life but always try to speak about a real event of your life.

  • Your father got promoted and your family celebrated it.
  • You got admitted to a school/ college/ university where you dreamed of studying.
  • The birth of your younger sister/ brother/ nephew/ niece or even your own kid if you are a father/ mother.
  • One of your family members was severely ill but got healed miraculously.
  • You won a competition.
  • You did something for others and people acclaimed that.
  • You got a scholarship.
  • You overcame one of your obstacles.
  • You went to visit a foreign country.
  • You achieved something noteworthy.
  • You saved someone from a big problem.

Q. What do you think is important in achieving happiness? Answer : I strongly believe that ordinary yet priceless things such as health, family solidarity and closeness, important people like friends who will always be there for you no matter what and job satisfaction can definitely lead to happiness. I am opposed to the belief that money makes everyone happy and replete. Although money and wealth are essential elements for human life as they help people cover their expenses, do things they want and purchase materials people want, I don’t think that they are the determinant factors. Furthermore, self-contentment could be another important ingredient for us to be happy. We can be happy with however little we have only if we have the self-satisfaction and self-contentment.

Q. How do you celebrate some happy events? Answer : As I can remember, when I was younger I used to held parties at my home solely with my family and relatives. Especially on my birthdays, my mom cooked my favourite foods and made my favourite birthday cake with chocolate. Now that I am not a teenager anymore, I go out with my friends and in some special circumstances with my family as well. For example, on my graduation day, I went to a Greek restaurant with my parents, brother and my five best friends and we had a really great time. Generally speaking, I would say that I am more of an introvert person, so I totally prefer to spend substantial time with few friends rather than having many people and typical relationships. My happy moments and celebrations are also related to my friends and family members.

Q. What role the camera and video play in celebrating? Answer : I would argue that these two tools, camera and video, play an integral part in different types of celebrations. First of all, most people have moments of their childhood and memories from childhood are captured in cameras. To illustrate, some of the most important events such as birthday parties, weddings, graduations and so on are included in these jigs and in this way the moment is captured and saved for a long period of time. Furthermore, as some essential and happy events are recorded, they could be used and displayed years later in order for some people to remember some significant events. A good illustration in my case is that on my 22nd birthday, my friends made me a really emotional video from all the years that we have been friends. Without the usage of the camera and video-recorder, this could never have happened.

If you can talk about this cue card , you should be able to answer the following cue cards as well:

  • Describe a memorable event of your life.
  • Talk about an event that made you happy.
  • Describe a happy memory you have.
  • Describe a success you achieved in your life.

Every day we have good and bad ones in our lives. The most important ones are the best moments in that we live. I am a five-year-old student who hasn’t lived all of his life. However, I have moments where I was the happiest. This year, during our school’s annual festival, I had the most joyful ever day in my entire life. My friends forced me to take part in the poetry slam contest. I was not keen to take part in the competition at all. But it was way too late to withdraw my name from the list, so I submitted poems. I wasn’t expecting much. However, I was surprised to get first place. It was the very first occasion my poems were acknowledged. Essay on The Happiest Day of My Life Essay of 800 Words for Inter

I am a five-year-old student. Several important things did not happen to me. However, there were times when I felt happier than the rest of my days. The day I was pleased could be the most joyful moment of my existence. Our school holds an annual celebration every year. Many different events and competitions happen during this period. Over twenty schools from across the city participate in this celebration. Music, dance, poetry, painting, and more are held. I have been writing poetry since class one. However, no one is aware of it besides a few close friends. They are always listening to my poems and then reviewing them. Therefore, when the time was approaching for the annual festival, they demanded that I participate.

I wrote a poem on the subject of ‘Friends. I didn’t expect anything. However, I was pleasantly surprised to be awarded first place. I was invited to the stage, and my poem was read to the audience. I was awarded a Gold Medal, a certificate, and a hamper. My parents were unaware that I wrote and were amazed. It made my day more enjoyable. It was the first time that others were impressed by my poem.

Note. This is a descriptive essay. Select the day you consider to be the happiest in your life and describe it faithfully, recollecting all the details. The writer here imagines that he stood first in the senior secondary school examination and considers the day his result was declared to be the happiest day of his life. Everyone has seen the staggering turn of the wheel of fortune. The goddess of fortune is quite whimsical. Look at me, for instance. When I was young, I had always thought that I was one of those ill-starred ones who have no joy in store for them. I never knew that fortune was going to bless me with a moment of glory which I would ever treasure in the innermost recesses of my mind.

What a day it was! With trembling hands, I opened the newspaper, and do, what did I read! “The highest position in the science stream goes to the son of a poor widow, “the paper declared. I was absolutely nervous. I could not believe it were I. The newspaper had inserted a box item appreciating my diligence, devotion and scholarship. It was really a thrilling experience to see my name published along with the names of the toppers in other streams. A day earlier, some press correspondents and photographers had called on me and I was not unaware of my result. But all this had looked like a sweet dream. Being at the very top! That was too much for me to even think about. But my photograph in the newspaper assured me that the news of my performance was a reality and not a dream.

Well, this was obviously the happiest day for a pauper like me whose life had seen only privations and wants. I had nothing to boast of except my honest labor. I felt proud that my labor had ultimately been accorded recognition. Millions of Oliver Twists like me die after facing social humiliations. I was the best of all the blessed, and thanked God for His mercy.

The day had dawned on a happy note. Hardly had I dressed myself when my Principal came to my place and hugged me hard. He congratulated my mother on getting the top position. The school opened with a festival look. All my friends shared my joy. My teachers spoke high of my caliber. The morning assembly that day was devoted to accord me honor. Garlands were heaped on me. My Principal announced a prize of five hundred rupees for my excellent performance. My name was inscribed on the school honors board. Soon it turned out to be a day of festivities and felicitations. I invited all my friends to a cup of tea. It was an informal gathering in the evening. We had a really good time.

The happiness of my mother can be better imagined than described and was mad with joy. She called her friends and arranged a ‘party’ at night to express her gratitude to God, who had come to her rescue, felt blessed and rewarded. My result had brought a ray of hope into her dark future.

Now I am placed in a prestigious position. I have hardly anything to worry about, but my happiness now is of a different order. Happiness today is just a routine affair. That happiness had revived my faith in life and injected in me a new hope. The memory of that day has been perpetuated in my mind. Years have elapsed but even today it is fresh and green.
