I have the most magnificent dream that could make me forget my ordinary life. I would love to become the Prime Minister of our country to alter and modify things that need urgent attention and improvement.

Holding the position of India’s Prime Minister brings with it great power and even greater responsibilities. Though it is a distant dream beyond my reach, expressing my ideas won’t cause any harm. If ever my fortune smiles on me, then I could acquire the position of Prime Minister. I have my ideal of what a Prime Minister should possess.

My first target will be to appoint qualified and non-corrupt ministers who would work honestly like me for the nation’s growth and development. Heavy taxes will be charged on the rich and middle class, and the poor will be exempted from taxes. Furthermore, I would eliminate black money circulation in the market by strictly monitoring people who stack money in secret places and do not pay taxes.

The entire education system needs refinement because we create young minds for whom we cannot arrange jobs. Moreover, rote learning will be eliminated, and a practical approach will be adopted. Vocational skills will be introduced to productively utilize their time and produce useful things in school and college workshops. I would maintain a friendly relationship with the neighbouring countries and other nations to receive the necessary help at the time of emergency or crisis.

Essay No. 01

I wish I were the Prime Minister of India so that I might serve my country in a most humble manner The Prime Minister enjoys the highest place in the Government of India, next to the President. However, in reality, it is the Prime Minister who has the real power invested in him by the people of the country. He is the captain of the team of ministers who head various departments of the country. A Prime Minister should be a person with all the qualities of head, heart, and soul. He should be the benefactor of the masses. Any selfish motive on behalf of the Prime Minister can put the country into irreparable losses.

As a Prime Minister of India, I would see that poverty has vanished from this land forever and people get at least two square meals a day.

As a Prime Minister, I would work to bring about communal harmony in the country. People would not fight in the name of religion, caste, or language. I would take effective steps to check communal riots. My next step would be to fight corruption which is rampant these days throughout the country.

My next priority as a Prime Minister would be that India continues to acquire strength so that she can face internal disturbances and external aggressions from any quarters. I would not allow any complacence in this regard, because a weak nation always invites invaders. Armed forces of the country would be well-provided in all respects so that no enemy dares have evil designs against our sovereignty.

However, I would continue to follow the policy of peaceful co-existence and maintain friendly relations with our neighboring countries like China, Pakistan, Srilanka, and Bangladesh. India would not join any power blocs but she would always take a keen interest in the non-aligned movement. She would work for the welfare of mankind and endeavor to bring about a new economic order so that the developed countries of the world may not exploit the developing countries.

India is a country with a glorious past and it should be our effort to preserve our cherished culture and safeguard our independence and integrity through all possible efforts. The spirit of true nationalism needs to be improved in the people to work for its progress by leaps and bounds and fulfill the dreams of our great leaders who sacrificed their lives for her freedom.

Essay No. 02

If I were the Prime Minister of India, I would first dismiss all the corrupt ministers from my cabinet. After adding good, sincere and honest men and women to the cabinet, I would go in for a ‘clean up’ operation. I would deal harshly with all those people who have been cheating the citizens of our country and filling their own pockets with money.

Next, I would ensure that every single man, woman, and child became literate, and attained at least a basic education so that each could become a self-respecting individual, able to support himself and his family in an honorable way. I would create job opportunities for everybody and try to help make them grow into good citizens who value the dignity of labor. No beggar would then be seen on the streets of India. With honesty and education, progress, and quality of life would follow naturally.

Lastly, I would try to put India on top of the world by giving a boost to the tourist industry, doing away with terrorism, and reviving some of our lost culture and traditions. At the same time, I would make sure that our science and technology progresses so that my country too can find its place among the developed countries of the world.

Essay No. 03

If I Were the Prime Minister!

If wishes were granted, I would definitely wish to become a Prime Minister. But the office of Prime Minister seems so distant from the reach of an ordinary student like me. Still, I have my own views about how a Prime Minister should be like. Should a fairy godmother ever smile on me, I have my own agenda which I would try to implement in our current political system for the betterment of the nation and people.

In the first place, I shall try to change the educational system of the country. The politicians would not be given any say in the educational system, as is the case these days. They seek votes in the name of caste, religion, and community. Since religion is the personal affair of every individual, I would not allow it to be played upon by the politicians. I shall sincerely try to keep violence away from the youth who are mostly infected by it.

Youths will be given jobs according to their qualifications. In my Prime Ministership, I would make education compulsory for both boys and girls up to the age of 18 yrs. I would also ban child labor and those who will still make them work will be punished heavily.

I would also implement vocational courses apart from studies in the school so that after schooling they can make careers of their own choice in life.

I shall also try to promote friendship with other countries in the world. I will invite the teams from other countries to play in India and all teams abroad.

The money spent on the purchases and ammunition would be spent on other projects from which India can truly gain.

Essay No. 04

If I Were The Prime Minister

If someday a fairy godmother asks me my wish, I would wish to become a Prime Minister.

The office of the Prime Minister seems so distant that it is beyond the reach of a person like me. But, still, I have my own ideas which I would like to implement if I were the Prime Minister.

I would definitely change the present educational system of the country and see that the politicians do not have any say in the education system as it is happening these days. Moreover, I would not allow seeking a vote in the name of caste, religion, and community because they are an emotional part of the personal affairs of each individual and the political parties should not be allowed to play with these.

Instead, the youths should be given jobs according to their qualifications and talent. In my tenure, I would make education compulsory for both boys and girls till the age of 18. I would also ban child labor and those who take work from children will be heavily fined.

I shall also promote friendship with other countries and will insist on the teams from other countries to play in India. Most importantly the money spent on the purchase of arms and ammunition would be spent on some useful projects from which my country will gain. And I would also make sure that no arms and ammunition are given in the hands of today’s youth, as it destroys their future.

To conclude, I would make India a corruption-free country.

If I Become The Prime Minister of India

If In Become An All Powerful Person in India for a Year

Essay No. 01

Pen in hand, I wonder, what I should write.  What an idea!  Can I become the Prime Minister of India? Well, why not? There are no basic qualifications for that.  I am a citizen of free India.  I have all the qualifications of a modern leader.

If, by some stroke of luck, I become an all- powerful person in India even for a short period, I am going to change the face of this country.  The first thing I shall lay my hand on would be education.  I will  change the entire system of education and make it purposeful, useful, interesting and easy.  I will change the entire system of education.  There will be no pass-fail system.  Everyone who completes his courses will be declared successful.  Teaching and testing will go hand in hand.  More stress will be laid on practical work and vocational training.  Education will be free and universal.  Open textbook system of examination followed by viva-voce test will be introduced at all levels.  Teachers will be asked to re-orient themselves for the new challenges and steps will be taken to make the teaching profession really attractive.  Sub-standard and ill-equipped teachers will be thrown out and really talented people will be inducted into the profession.

I shall introduce some drastic changes in the system of elections.  No person who is not educated up the matriculation stage, will be allowed to contest an election.  Elections will be financed by the State.  Defection will not be allowed. Elections will be free and fair.  Really, capable men will be encouraged to come forward and join the government.  All parties will be allowed a free use of the All India Radio and the Doordarshan.  Independents and regional parties will not be allowed to contest.

There will be equality of opportunity for all.  The system of reservations of jobs will be scrapped.  Merit will be the only criterion for jobs and admissions.  There will be no place for nepotism, corruption and recommendations.

I shall try to establish a truly socialistic pattern of society. The gap between the rich and the poor will be narrowed down.  Nobody will be allowed to hold more than one house.  Right to property will be taken away.  The rich will not be allowed to become richer beyond a certain limit and the poor will be taken away.  The rich will not be allowed to become richer beyond a certain limit and the poor will not be allowed to become poorer.  Medical treatment will be free. There will be no unemployment.  Agriculture will be given the highest priority.  Family planning will be strictly enforced to achieve a target of zero growth.  Cottage and small scale industry will grow simultaneously with heavy industries.  More and more hydel power projects and solar power sets will be installed so that there is no shortage of power in the country.

Character building will also receive an important place. Textbooks will be re-written to build up character, a sense of nationalism and patriotism. Every student will be made to feel that he is an Indian first and an Indian last.  They will be made to participate to constructive activities and will be called upon to build a new India free from poverty, dirt and lethargy.  Sports and cultural activities will be encouraged on a big scale.  Sportsmen would be caught young and given an intensive training so that they bring a fair name to the country in various international meets.

Under my able stewardship, the country will march on the greater and greater prosperity.  Evils like corruption, smuggling and hoarding will become things of the past.  Our country will be a heaven of peace and prosperity.  In the international field, India will occupy a place of honour.  All this is no bragging or self-praise.  Nothing is impossible.  I shall do my best to fulfill the dreams of Mahatma Gandhi the Father of the Nation.  In a very short time, my country will become a land of peace and prosperity where every head is high, where every hand is busy, and where every heart is happy.

If I were the Prime Minister of India

India is a democratic republic, in which the legislators are elected through a direct election. Prime Minister is the leader of the Party that wins the election at the centre.

It means that the person, who is to become the Prime Minister, must have a strong and long active political career. I have no such background and I’m not sure if I’ll be having such a background as I grow up. Therefore, the chances of my becoming the Prime Minister of India are almost nil. In spite of this, I do not find anything wrong in imaging myself to be the Prime Minister of India.

Thus, if I become the Prime Minister of India, I’ll do certain daring things which will be very useful for the Indian nation and the Indian people.

First of all, a country must be very strong in military and economic terms. So, I’ll start many factories in India itself to manufacture the latest and most supplicated weapons for the defence of the country. As for the economic development I’ll pay more attention to rapid industrialization and exports to make India a rich country.

The common people are more concerned with their comforts. I’ll start several social safety measures like old age and widow pension.

I’ll try to tackle some knotty problems on war-footing. Among such problems I’ve listed poverty, unemployment, illiteracy, female foeticide, corruption, fake currency, terrorism etc.

I’ll pay special attention to the problems of women, children, youth and senior citizens. I hope you’ll all cooperate with me to make India strong and the Indian people rich and happy. I’ll however, give full attention to national intergratism and world peace also.

If I Were the Prime Minister of India

The Prime Minister of India is the most powerful man in the country. He rules the root. Though the highest office is that of the President, yet the Prime Minister is more powerful. The President is a ceremonial head. The Prime Minister rules over about 85 crore men, women and children of the country. No doubt, if wishes were horses, beggars would ride, but who knows a stroke of good luck may elevate me to this high position in the country. For example, take Shri Lai Bahadur Shastri, who has been one of our Prime Ministers. When he was a student, he too, thought this high office beyond his reach. But by dint of hard work and a stroke of good luck he became the Prime Minister of India after Pt. Nehru ‘s death.

Even if I never become a Prime Minister, I have my own views of a Prime Minister and what he should do in the present circumstances. But I wish I were the Prime Minister to put my ideals and ideas into practice. If I were the Prime Minister of India, I would first of all root out corruption. Corruption is a great bane. It has spread over all walks of life, including the administration, like a wild fire. Let alone the petty government servants, even people in high authority and government positions are not free from it. The politicians and political leaders have virtually vitiated the whole atmosphere. Every now and then there are corruption charges against them in the Parliament, State Assemblies and in public. You cannot get any work done unless you grease the palm of the concerned officials. Similarly, businessmen, traders and others indulge in dishonest, unethical and corrupt trade practices. They evade taxes, adulterate commodities, and influence people in power with their money and bribery. Nepotism, favoritism, etc., have become the order of the day. I would like to eradicate corruption by rewarding honest and sincere government and public servants. The black marketeers, hoarders and corrupt officials would be dealt with very strictly and suitably punished. People stoop too low to have money. They are ready even to betray India in order to get rich overnight. I would do my utmost as the Prime Minister to control and then to eradicate corruption.

Our successive governments and their leaders have had been following the policy of ‘divide and rule’ inherited from the British rulers. They have been using different classes, castes and communities as their vote banks. It has given rise to inter-caste fights, quarrels, communal riots and disturbances. I would see that there are no reservations of any kind on the basis of caste and community. The concept of minority and majority is basically wrong. It creates tensions, divisions and heart-burning. Everybody is equally an Indian. Then why should there be-any discrimination in the name of minority, backwardness and castes. I would create job opportunities for all. Every unemployed person would be given suitable job according to his or her qualifications and merits. In giving jobs merit would be given the highest priority. On this point there would be no compromise. The people who are really financially and socially weak would be given sufficient and far better opportunities to improve their lot through education, training and financial aid in the form of liberal stipends, scholarships and other allowances. Moreover, there would be a uniform civil code for all. I would make the registration of marriages compulsory and devise effective means to eradicate the evils of dowry. Special efforts would be taken for education and professional training of the women, handicapped and economically weaker sections of the society. But as far employment is concerned there would be no reservations at all.

I would leave no stone unturned to raise the prestige of India in the world community. I would make India strong, self.. reliant and sufficient on every front. I would see that India becomes a major world power in terms of defense and financial position. We would produce our own war-planes, guns and other defense equipment and even earn foreign exchange by selling them in the international market. The pace of industrialisation and agricultural production would be accelerated and exports would be given much impetus. 1 would see that people are hard working, honest, full of the sense of pride being Indians, that they become prosperous through honest and industrious means. I would improve the living standards of the masses and see that the disparity between the rich and the poor is minimized.

In the field of education and training, everything would be job-oriented. The use of English will be minimized and the students would be taught through their mother tongues only. The standards of education would be improved in every respect and there would be nothing like public schools. Admissions would lie purely on the basis of merit and on no other consideration. There would be greater expansion in technical education. It would help in reducing unemployment. I would encourage self-employment. I would promote both cottage, small-scale and large-scale industries. Further the migration from the villages to the towns and cities would be checked by promoting village industries.

I will do these and many more good things to alleviate the social, economical, cultural and educational condition of the masses of India, if I were the Prime Minister. I would see that there is more and more participation of the labour in the management to eradicate the problems of strikes, lockouts, etc., in the factories and mills. Black money would be uncovered and used for national good; smugglers would be severely dealt with and extremists eradicated. The more I think about India, her people and present lot, the more strongly I wish I were the Prime Minister of India, so as to re-establish the moral and human values in every walk of our life.

English Summary

If I Were the Prime Minister of India Essay

India being a democratic country holds a very important position in the world. In fact, she is the largest democracy in the world. It is but natural that every citizen can hope of becoming the prime minister of the country.

I also hope to succeed in that position one day, if I happen to outshine other students in studies and then manage to have numerous admirer who will elect me first a Member of Parliament. I shall try my best to become very popular among the elected members so that they could elect me their leader.

As a matter of fact, the prime minister is the real ruler of the country and he is responsible only to the elected body, the Lok Sabha. Whosoever is the prime minister, he wields the powers to rule the nation.

My first task after becoming the prime minister will be to choose the best ministers for my cabinet. I will further ensure that technically sound young men should also find a place in the cabinet so that their expertise is used for the betterment of the country.

Then, I will see that all the big mills be nationalized so that the profit earned through labourers’ hard work should not go to the capitalists alone. The workers must get their due share. I will ensure that only expert persons should head those industries, even if they are not a government employee.

Foreign dependence would be minimized as far as possible. That step would also ensure security to the nation. Special steps will be taken in the agriculture sector. Research centres will be established to get the best seeds to boost production. All facilities would be provided to the farmers.

The educational system will be totally changed. Students after getting the basic education up to 10th class would be given vocational training besides academic. All the courses will be job-oriented.

Corruption in any form will be dealt with in the strictest manner and corrupt persons will be awarded deterrent punishment. I know that ruling a nation is not an easy job. It cannot be done without the active support of the people.

I shall try my best to educate the people in order to eradicate all types of social evils. A strong sense of patriotism has to be inculcated in citizens mind. I shall take appropriate steps to revive our national pride in India only then can make progress.

549 Words Essay on if I were the Prime Minister of My Country

essay writing on if i were a prime minister

How I wish I were the Prime Minister of my country! I have so many schemes in mind for the upliftment and development of my country. If I were the Prime Minister, I would put into practice all the following schemes.

In the first place, my country is very poor. Millions of people live in extreme poverty. I would take all steps to do away with poverty. I would see to it that the poor were able to lead a decent life. They would not lack any of the necessities of life-food, clothing and shelter. I would also have schemes for the improvement of national health. Then my people would be happy and healthy.

Another great drawback in our country is ignorance and illiteracy. Many people do not know how to read and write. I have plans to educate the people and make them responsible citizens. Next I, would impose heavy taxes on the rich and use the money to help the nation. It is not fair that a few rich people should live in luxury and the rest should be extremely poor. My aim is to do away with the great disparity in income that exists at present between the rich and the poor. I would severely punish those who take bribes or are black marketers. Corruption would be stamped out altogether.

A problem which is neutralising all efforts to improve the standard of living of the masses is that of over population. In 1951 when the first census after the partition of the country was taken, population was somewhere about thirty five crores. But as General Smuts of South Africa contemptuously, though with some truth in it, remarked “Indians breed like rabbits.” We have by now more than doubled the 1951 figure and there is no knowing what figure will replace this when we bid good bye to this century. Something urgent has to be done to arrest this alarming growth. It will be my first duty as Prime Minister to turn to this problem of population growth and tackle it on a war footing.

ADVERTISEMENTS:

Another aim of mine is to make our country self-sufficient and self-reliant. I know that we cannot rely on ourselves for everything. Yet I would make people realise that we should depend on ourselves as far as possible.

Though I believe in peace and non-violence, I would strengthen my country’s defense. We must be prepared to defend ourselves in case of foreign attack. I would have compulsory military training for all boys up to the age of twenty-one.’ Then we will never be taken unawares. We will be able to meet and successfully repel all foreign attacks.

I have many more plans for the development of my country. It is only lack of space that prevents me from mentioning them all here.

If I Were the Prime Minister in Hindi

essay writing on if i were a prime minister

If I Were the Prime Minister in Hindi!

ADVERTISEMENTS:

essay writing on if i were a prime minister

I would make health and education free and there will be uniform standards of these everywhere.

Fatima Imran

12, Karachi

I would like to bring about an improvement in social services, particularly related to women’s social and health issues. I would introduce a helpline for women who are in any sort of danger, and have separate parking areas for them too.

Simran Pamela Shahani

16 years, Karachi

I will build houses in every province for the poor and free food will also be provided there. I would also buy land and hire poor people to irrigate the land and grow crops on it to enhance the country’s production and improve agricultural export, thus enhance Pakistan’s economy.

Ahmad Shahzad,

Luckily, if I become the PM for one day, then I will end child labour and honour killing from every part of the country.

13 years, Turbat

I will put all the corrupt people in prison and take all the looted money from them. I will give jobs to honest people.

14 years, Turbat

I will end corruption by removing corrupt people working at all levels from all departments as it is the biggest issue in the country.

Gulnaz Aslam,

I would help the poor people of Pakistan. I would order centres to be built on every road where wealthy people could donate toys, money, food, clothes and even books. All poor people could come and get anything from such centres for free.

Amna Zaidi,

11 years, Karachi

If I will be the Prime Minister of Pakistan for one day, I will not change my lifestyle. I will also not demand any luxuries and protocol. I will work for the liberation of the Kashmiris and will free them from Indian forces. If I have to sacrifice my life for them, I will gladly do that.

Afaf Nawaz,

16 years, Faisalabad

If I get the opportunity to be the leader of Pakistan, then first I would eradicate corruption and corrupt leaders of the country. Every department would be free from corruption, and honesty and justice would prevail

Shakeel Phullan,

16 years, Turbat

I would start the development of new and wider roads to control the traffic problem. I would also improve the public transport system and the rescue services of Pakistan.

Saaim Saadi,

essay writing on if i were a prime minister

I would love to be the prime minister for a day. The first thing I would do is to ask all the teachers of Pakistan to help students in their studies and extracurricular activities with their whole heart.

Ten best teachers, whose students perform extraordinarily well, would be selected from all the schools in Pakistan. These selected teachers, along with their families, would be sent for a 10-day fun trip by the government.

Also, the top 10 students in Pakistan would be given a medal with Quaid-i-Azam’s picture on it and a toy of their choice. This way we can encourage good performance and appreciate both children and teachers.

7 years, Karachi

If I will be given this opportunity, I will work for 24 hours that day because I have so many plans in my mind. I will offer free medical treatment to everyone. And I would order everyone to be happy and keep each other happy so that all of us can stay happily and in peace.

Nimah Muiz,

8 years, Islamabad

I would try to eliminate the class differences created by money because of which people are divided. There would be a big feast that day. Everyone would sit together, regardless of class. They will communicate and hopefully understand each other better and in future help each other out in terms of money, education etc., and be united at all times. There would be a clean-up drive afterwards and every single citizen, including myself, will take part in it and help remove all the trash and dispose them at garbage-dump sites.

Sheza Fayaz

I will have an online system for every office department and institute of the government so that data would be transferred to head offices fast, and I won’t let dishonest people work for Pakistan.

Sheherbano Rind

12 years, Jamshoro

I would try to end pollution from Pakistan and there would be strict rules to stop people from throwing even a single wrapper or litter. If anyone did that then they would get punished.

Mir Kazim Raza Talpur,

essay writing on if i were a prime minister

As a PM, the one thing I would do would be to change Pakistan into a clean country. There will be dustbins everywhere and anyone who spits on the road will be fined. I will make sure sweepers are paid very well and that dustbins are emptied regularly.

Hasan Asif,

8 years, Karachi

I will kick out those corrupt leaders due whom our country is suffering. Corruption is the only thing which is causing all the problems in the country, so no corruption, no problems.

17 years Turbat

I will end injustice in the country. Today we are doing injustice with the poor as they are deprived of their basic rights. I will provide equal rights to the poor, they will get their share in everything, including employment, education, healthcare and much more.

Sanaullah Samad,

18 years Turbat

If I get a chance to do one thing as the Prime Minister of Pakistan, I will change the educational system and make education free for the poor and orphans, up to the postgraduate level. I think it will be more helpful than the Prime Minister Laptop Scheme.

Hasnain Ali Joyo,

17 years, Nawabshah

I will help the beggars, give jobs to the youth, remove corruption and punish the corrupt. I will do things because of which in every country there would be most respect of my country Pakistan.

Zamin Talpur,

Ayesha Shafi,

Maryam Batool,

15 years, Karachi

I would end the tax system and provide free quality education. I will give jobs to the jobless people.

Momin Zaman,

16 years, Quetta

essay writing on if i were a prime minister

I would develop a forum for the youth to work for the betterment of Pakistan. Empowering the youth means empowering the country and with their talent, they will bring a positive image of our country in front of the whole world.

Abeeha Jamshed,

10 years, Karachi

I will make education compulsory for everybody, regardless of their age.

I will abolish separate education boards and create only one that is ‘Pakistan Education Board’ with the latest version of textbooks.

Harendra Kumar,

18 years, Hyderabad

The first thing I’d do would be to make many boarding schools for the poor. These boarding schools will offer free food, clean clothes, good hygiene, a place to sleep and good education. These schools would not only be for children but also for adults who want to gain education. This way people will have a respectable place to have live and gain education at the same time.

Ayesha Dadabhoy,

I will make Pakistan a prosperous country by eradicating corruption and taking measures to end poverty. Then I will provide clean drinking water and electricity to various areas of Pakistan where these necessities are missing.

Zeeshan Haider Baladi,

17 years, Karachi

Education will be my first priority, so I will build schools and colleges all over the country.

Ramsha Jatoi,

I will ban the cutting of trees. If someone cuts one tree, he/she would have to plant two trees. I would keep dustbins everywhere and if people will not throw garbage in the bin, they will have to pay a penalty. I would also provide recycle bins in each society so that people can put things to recycle in it.

Rao M. Umer,

I will spread education and promote budding scientists and inventors. If everyone becomes educated there will be no robberies, no corrupt, and everyone will respect women and our country will become the best in the whole world.

Zinia Rehman,

I would be honest to my position, myself and to the people. Instead of trying to build or collect money for anyone, I would try convincing people to help others and not just think about themselves. Even if five percent of the people of Pakistan are convinced, then a single act of generosity by these five percent can change the lives of many.

Rija Qadri,

15 years Karachi

My first priority will be to eliminate illiteracy from Pakistan by building schools, and providing free and safe education to all Pakistani children.

Maryam Amjad,

My foremost priority would be to improve services for the landowners of Pakistan. As Pakistan is an agricultural country with most of the population being rural, I would arrange water supplies for landowners, provide high-yielding seeds, farming machinery, fertilisers and pesticides. I would develop research institutes which would focus on the development of highly productive and sustainable farming technologies. I would encourage organic farming and use of modern farming techniques, instead of the old, traditional methods. These steps would boost the economy of Pakistan.

Anusha Hussain,

13 years, Hyderabad

I would work to preserve water, and build dams and artificial lakes to store water. I would also bring modern sanitation system and filtration to Pakistan. I would create all sorts of water management programmes and also pass laws for saving water. In addition, I would bring water desalination units and recycling water system to Pakistan.

Ali Asghar,

10 years, Lahore

I would start a campaign that would promote unity and education in every part of Pakistan. People, regardless of their social status and gender, would be able to get quality education and have good jobs.

Mahrukh Malik,

I will implement rules to destroy feudalism. I will end discrimination and promote equal rights and justice so that Pakistan becomes a peaceful and prosperous land.

M. Shahmir,

I wish to make Karachi clean and green. I would rid my city of the huge garbage dumps which are currently spoiling the city’s beauty. I would make this city lively and beautiful again.

Sadia Kiran

I would reform the garbage dumping and collection system. I would impose fines on anyone who throws even a single wrapper on the streets.

If we can clean and polish our own homes, why not the country? I will also assign regular sweeping trucks to wash the roads daily.

Laiba Shakil,

I would like to bring change in the country by focussing on the poor first. I would provide every poor person with free education so that in the future they are able to get good jobs. I would make sure that poverty vanishes from Pakistan forever and people get all the rights they deserve.

Maryam Rahman,

I will allocate a large budget for education so that our educational institutes become at par with those of the best universities abroad. This way the youth will remain and study in Pakistan instead of going abroad.

Muhammad Bilal,

18 years, Rawalpindi

I’ll punish everyone who disobeys traffic rules and throws trash on the roads/streets while there are bins for it.

I’ll ask every school to give admission to at least 20 poor children every year to study free of cost. All their books, bags and other things will be provided by the government.

Essay on If I were the Prime Minister of India in Hindi

(Yadi Me Pradhanmantri Hota Essay in Hindi)

Long Essay on If I Were The Prime Minister! 500 Words for Kids and Students in English

‘If wishes were horses, beggars would ride’. My case is no different. It is the most magnificent dream that could make me forget my student life. The office of the prime minister seems so distant that it is beyond the reach of ordinary people. India has a population of over 1,000 million. So my chance of becoming the prime minister is one upon 1,000 million.

I have my own ideal of what a prime minister should be. There is no harm in expressing my ideas. If fortune ever smiles on me, I can modify my views according to the situation.

My first target would be to eliminate black money. When I find some people rolling in wealth and others begging on the streets, my heart revolts. Is this the India of Gandhi’s dream? Some people do not pay taxes and keep the money stocked in some secret places. This money is used for wrong purposes. We urgently need foreign exchange but it is being used for buying gold and luxuries.

I would change the whole system of education. We produce battalions of young people for whom we cannot arrange jobs. They would naturally be frustrated and add to unproductive section of the population. We should teach vocational skills to our students so that they can make useful things in the school workshops. They can also make them in the school laboratories. Little children can assemble small toys, pens, watches and electronic goods. These things can be sold in the market. Their hard work gives them confidence to do something in their life. They would prove to be useful citizens of our country. However, children would also be required to study in the morning or evening schools. So far few politicians have brought in any significant and positive change. They seek votes in the name of caste, community and religion. They instigate different communities to fight. The places of worship are no longer just that. Religion is the personal affair of every citizen and it should not be used as an election device.

I would try to keep a friendly relationship with the neighbouring countries. That would help all of us in many ways.

I would invite the teams from all the nations to play in India and send our own teams to those nations. We would not exchange bullets but balls in order to promote universal fraternity, peace and harmony. No person in India would be allowed to criticise our opponents and the same would also be expected by those nations. The money spent so. far on the purchase of arms and ammunition, would be spent for the welfare of poor and small children. I would make India a heaven on earth!

The Evening

Israel signaled that it would retaliate against iran.

Also, the House is set to vote on aid for Ukraine and Israel. Here’s the latest at the end of Wednesday.

A man in military uniform standing on top of a tank.

By Matthew Cullen

Israel’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, emerged today from talks with European diplomats resolute that his country would not bow to outside pressure in responding to the recent attack by Iran. Britain’s foreign secretary acknowledged after the meeting that an Israeli reprisal seemed inevitable .

“It is clear that the Israelis are making a decision to act,” David Cameron, the British foreign secretary, said. “We hope that they do so in a way that does as little to escalate this as possible.”

The British were not alone in urging Israeli restraint after Iran launched more than 300 missiles and drones at Israel over the weekend. The leaders of the U.S., Germany and other nations denounced Tehran’s attack but pressed Netanyahu to avoid taking any action that could spur a wider war.

A spokesman for the State Department said today that the U.S. was pushing for a “unified diplomatic response” to the Iranian attack. But the spokesman added, “These decisions are for Israel to make as a sovereign, democratic country.”

Israel has considered a range of options , including a direct strike on Iran and a strike on an Iranian target elsewhere, such as an Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps base. Israeli officials said they had also considered a cyberattack or assassinations. Iranian leaders have warned that the country will react forcefully to any Israeli strike.

The House is set to vote on aid for Ukraine and Israel

Speaker Mike Johnson announced today that the House would vote on Saturday evening on a foreign aid package for Israel and Ukraine . Johnson, a Republican, will need Democrats to help him pass the legislation and also possibly save his job. His attempt to advance the bill has put him in confrontation with his party’s right flank.

The legislation includes $60 billion for Kyiv; $26 billion for Israel and humanitarian aid for civilians in conflict zones, including Gaza; and $8 billion for the Indo-Pacific. President Biden has already endorsed it and urged its swift passage.

In Ukraine, at least 17 people were killed in a Russian missile strike north of Kyiv. President Volodymyr Zelensky, who said yesterday that Ukraine stood “no chance of winning” without more Western aid, blamed the country’s lack of air defenses for the loss of life.

Republicans blocked move to repeal Arizona abortion ban

Republican leaders in the Arizona State Legislature successfully prevented a vote to repeal the state’s 1864 law banning abortion , on procedural grounds. In doing so, they defied pressure from prominent Republicans, including Donald Trump, who had urged them to toss the ban, which many voters view as extreme and archaic.

The Civil War-era law, which the state’s Supreme Court reinstated last week, allows exceptions only to save the life of the mother. Doctors prosecuted under the law could face fines and prison terms of two to five years.

Meanwhile, abortion clinics in Arizona are left uncertain of whether they will soon be put out of operation.

Long-acting drugs could revolutionize H.I.V. treatment

In the next five to 10 years, long-acting therapies to prevent or treat H.I.V. may rid the need for patients to take a daily pill. Drugs currently in development could usher in a future in which H.I.V. may require attention just twice a year, inconceivable in the darkest decades of the epidemic.

For some patients, the new regimens may ease the stigma of the disease, itself an obstacle to treatment. Doctors also expect the new treatments to be a boon in populations that have long been hard to reach , like patients who have spotty access to health services, are mentally ill or face discrimination.
