AIOU announces schedule for Matric/FA assignments’  submission  

ISLAMABAD - Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced the assignment schedule for Matric and F.A. programs offered in the spring semester 2023. According to the AIOU, May 31 is the submission deadline for the first complete course assignment, June 23 for the second assignment whereas July 17 and August 18 is the last submission date for the third and fourth assignments respectively. The submission deadline for 1st and 2nd half course assignments of matric and F.A programs is June 23, 2023, and August 18, 2023, respectively. Students can get names, addresses, and other information of their respective tutors on CMS portal at http://enrollment.aiou.edu.pk or from any nearest regional campus. Students will be responsible for late assignment submission, and assignments reaching after the due dates will not be accepted. Moreover, the university has also uploaded the assignments and instructions for writing and submitting assignments for the Associate Degree, BS, B.Ed., MA, MSc, M.Ed, and ATTC programs on the website www.aiou.edu.pk. The schedule for submission of assignments for these programs will be announced soon. Students enrolled in these programs will submit their assignments online while students enrolled in Matriculation, FA and BA (associate degree) programs will submit (dispatch) their assignments to the respective tutors manually. University has also uploaded instructions on its official website for the convenience of students.

AIOU Matric Solved Assignment

The AIOU Matric program is a secondary school certificate program. That is offered by the Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) in Pakistan. The program consists of four semesters, each lasting six months. The program aims to provide students with a basic education in various subjects. Such as Islamiyat, Pakistan Studies, Urdu, English, Mathematics, General Science, and elective courses.

Provided program also offers some vocational and technical courses. Such as Garment Making, Food and Nutrition, Lab Techniques, and Information Technology Basics. The program is designed to cater to the needs of different learners. Such as regular students, dropouts, working adults, and women.

Enroll in the Matric Program

To enroll in the Matric program, the minimum age requirement is 13 years. The students have to complete 48 credit hours of courses. Out of which 36 credit hours are compulsory and 12 credit hours are elective. The students have to submit assignments and appear for exams for each course. Introduction

Department of English, AIOU aspires to lead in academic and research fields in the critically vital streams of English literature and linguistics. The academic tradition and practices of AIOU stand unique among all institutions as it provides phenomenal facilities to the students and scholars at all levels through ODL and blended modes. BS English (Language and Literature) Program (Programme Code: 0465) BS English Program, offered in autumn 2019 offered for the first, aims to provide basic education and training to young learners in English language literature and linguistics. With an objective to equip them with mandatory research skills, BS English will enable learners address issues related to Pakistani literature in English in general and ELT practices in particular. 

Objectives:

The program has the following objectives:

• to provide basic, education and training to young learners of English literature and linguistics.
• to equip the learners with mandatory research skills required to accomplish higher education goals.
• to develop critical thinking and analytical skills of the learners. 
• to establish, strengthen and promote research culture in the country.

An applicant having intermediate/higher secondary school pass certificate or equivalent in second division (at least 45% marks) in any discipline from any recognized institution is eligible to apply for admission.

Teaching methodology.

BS (4-year) in English is offered in ODL which includes online sessions and workshops.

Research Thesis/ Project

A two-week research orientation workshop will be organized in the seventh semester. Innovative, and interdisciplinary research topics leading to strengthening research culture in English language and literature in the Pakistani context will be emphasized. All matters related to the selection of the supervisor, approval of the topic, extension, submission, asscssmenUcvaluation, grading and award of degree will be treated as per AIOU rules and guidelines. 

The Allama Iqbal Open University was established in May, 1974, with the main objectives of providing educational opportunities to masses and to those who cannot leave their homes and jobs. During all these past years, the University has more than fulfilled this promise.
