After the overwhelming response from the first two editions, Charette is elated to announce the third edition of ‘Architecture Thesis of the Year Competition - ATY 2022’.

‘Architecture Thesis of the Year 2022’ is an international architecture thesis competition that aims to extend appreciation to the tireless effort and exceptional creativity of student theses in the field of Architecture. We seek to encourage young talent in bringing their path-breaking ideas to the forefront globally.

PREMISE Academic Design endeavours allow the free flow of unfettered ideas – experimental, bold, promising, and unconventional. An intensive architectural discourse and a collaborative design process are essential to developing ingenious solutions to complex problems of the future.

An Architecture Thesis is considered the avant-garde – pushing the boundaries of what is accepted as the norm in the architectural realm. It is the outcome of months of painstaking research and an excruciating design process yet it hardly gets any recognition beyond the design studio. It is imperative to share such revolutionary ideas with the entire fraternity to open up new possibilities for dialogue.

The official language of the competition is English.

It forms one of the largest presentations of graduation work and offers unrivaled insight into current global trends in design education and the architectural discipline. With the world's best graduation projects, UnIATA presents each edition with a new generation of the world’s most talented emerging architects, urbanists, and landscape architects, who are ready and equipped to tackle all imaginable contemporary assignments. These ideas are the foundation for new possibilities that have the ability to advance architectural practice as well as academia.  UNI’s International Architecture Thesis Award ( UnIATA 2022 – Fifth Edition) is a step taken to identify and promote such exceptional projects across the globe. 

UnIATA will focus on the graduate and undergraduate projects that have been created in the last 4 years from 7 regions worldwide.

In the first editions of UnIATA we received projects that showcased the best of design and concepts globally. Entries in each edition have set a benchmark of excellence for the participants in this and future editions.

A total of  5 sheets of size 30 cm x 30 cm  are to be submitted as a  combined PDF document, which shall not exceed 5 MB .

• Sheets 1 to 4: Graphic Representation These may include, but are not limited to 3-D views, sketches, sections, isometric views, plans, elevations or any other means of graphical representation. You may include text labels, architectural markings & symbols and short descriptive text but avoid long blocks of paragraphs.
• Sheet 5: Text Summary Write a text summary about your design in under 250 words. The project title must be included as the heading of this sheet (not included in 250 words). There should be no images on this sheet; only text. Your  Registration ID  should be written in the top right corner of this sheet. Any other information which discloses your identity shall lead to disqualification.  All text must be in English .

2022 Britton Memorial Awards Thesis Prize Competition

Since 1983, graduating students in the School of Architecture’s professional degree programs are eligible for awards: the Dean’s Citations for Excellence in Thesis Design, Citations for Excellence in Thesis Design, Honorable Mentions, and the James A. Britton Memorial Award s —Advisory Board Prize, Faculty Prize, and Jury Prize—recognizing the best final projects by graduate and undergraduate students in the professional degree programs.

Beginning in 2020, as a result of COVID, the awards have been granted through a competition open to all thesis students. This year, all the entered work is posted here as a public display. Thus the competition doubles as the Thesis Exhibition.

Prizes were determined by three groups of reviewers— Invited Critics , Faculty, and members of the Advisory Board —who evaluated the posted work and submit ranked ballots. Dean Speaks announced the winners on May 14, 2022 at the School of Architecture Convocation .

Archistart is happy to announce the launch of the sixth Architectural Thesis Award, the international award that aims to promote, reward and give visibility to young talents in architecture. The latest editions of the Architectural Thesis Award ATA2017,   ATA2018,   ATA2019 , ATA2020 , ATA2021 were a great success among young talent in the architecture’s world.

Archistart is like an archive of architecture thesis, that focus specifically on the following categories: architectural design, urban and landscape planning, restoration, infrastructure, technological systems and parametric design.

The award includes a grant of € 2000 (1st place) in cash and the chance to participate in Archistart contests free of charge.

Archresource is happy to announce its first edition of the annual Architecture Thesis Award, after great success in Acad Awards with over 180+ registrations from around the Nation. 

Archresource ‘Thesis of the Year’ is the National Thesis competition that aims to appreciate the tireless effort and exceptional creativity of student thesis in the field of Architecture. We seek to encourage young talent in bringing their path-breaking ideas to the forefront on a global scale and acknowledge their projects amongst young and influential industry professionals.  Archresource welcomes 2019, 2020, 2021 & 2022 graduates to participate in its first edition of the National Thesis Awards!

Mango Architecture is happy to announce its fourth edition of the annual Architectural Thesis Award. After great success in ATA2022 with 350+ registrations from around the globe , the International Thesis Award aims to promote and give a global platform to showcase the talents of Young Graduates and Post Graduates, acknowledging the projects amongst young and influential industry professionals.

The award includes total Prize Money of 1500.00 USD , where 30 Honorable Mentions, 20 Special Mentions, and 10 Select Mentions will get a chance for media publication on our website and social media handles.

First Prize: USD 800/INR 60000

Second Prize : USD 450/ INR 35000

Third Prize: USD 250/ INR 20000

NATIONAL AWARDS FOR EXCELLENCE IN ARCHITECTURAL THESIS 2020

The Council of Architecture, with a view to encourage and motivate the students of Graduate Courses in Architecture has instituted a National Awards for Excellence in Architectural Thesis, submitted in compliance to the requirements of the bachelor’s degree program in Architecture and invites students to participate in this prestigious competition by submitting their thesis projects in accordance with the conditions and instructions.  

The term Student' shall mean a bonafide student of a College of Architecture, who has appeared for Final Year B. Arch. Examination at the end of the academic year. Each thesis project must be submitted by the head of the institute/ principal of the college, with consent from the student. Each college/school of architecture approved by the Council of Architecture may send entries as per the rules depending upon the sanctioned intake, for the Final Year B. Arch. examination at the end of the academic year. No blood relative of any member of the Board of Assessors shall take part either directly or indirectly in the awards program nor be entrusted either directly or indirectly with work connected with the award-winning thesis. No member of the promoting body or an associate an employee or any member concerned with the preparation or organizing of the competition shall be eligible to assist a student participating in the program

A4TC-2022 is the second edition of artuminate’s architecture thesis competition.

Architecture thesis is the ultimate yet the preliminary test of the student being molded as an architect, the initial years that contribute to forging a designer that eventually formulates a collaboration of all the wisdom accumulated over the academic years, the inventive years which birth the composition of the incomprehensible ideas, known as the architecture design thesis.

A4TC is an international architecture thesis competition that aims to promote the amazing ideas nurtured with extensive research and thoughts. An acknowledgment of the efforts and creativity presented as the Architecture thesis by the future of architecture.

A competition designed to present your unimaginable problem-solving architectural ideas on a global scale. A4TC is considering the architectural thesis of the past five years (2017-2022).

GUIDELINES:

• Drawing requirements: Conceptual (Priority), Plans, Sections, Elevations, View.
• Support your design with all possible explanations, (Formats that are accepted: Text, Video, Audio and the most obvious drawings).
