చిరంజీవి సినిమా వస్తుందంటే ఆయన అభిమానులకే కాదు.. ప్రతి తెలుగు ప్రేక్షకుడికీ ఆసక్తి ఉంటుంది. రీఎంట్రీ తర్వాత వరుస సినిమాలు చేస్తున్న ఆయనకు ఈ ఏడాది ‘ఆచార్య’ కాస్త గట్టిగానే షాక్ ఇచ్చింది. అయితే, ఈ దసరాకు ‘గాడ్‌ఫాదర్‌’గా తనదైన వినోదాన్ని పంచడానికి సిద్ధమయ్యారు. మలయాళంలో ఘన విజయం సాధించిన ‘లూసిఫర్‌’ రీమేక్‌గా మోహన్‌రాజా దీన్ని తెరకెక్కించారు. మరి కింగ్‌ మేకర్‌గా చిరు ఎలా చేశారు? (Godfather review) మాతృకతో పోలిస్తే ఏవి మెరుగ్గా ఉన్నాయి? సల్మాన్‌, నయన్‌, సత్యదేవ్‌ పాత్రలు అదనపు ఆకర్షణ తెచ్చాయా?

కథేంటంటే: రాష్ట్ర ముఖ్యమంత్రి పి.కె.రామదాసు (పీకేఆర్‌) మరణం తర్వాత రాజకీయ శూన్యం ఏర్పడుతుంది. సీఎంగా ఎవరిని ఎంపిక చేయాలన్నదానిపై జన జాగృతి పార్టీ (జేజేపీ) తర్జనభర్జన పడుతుంటుంది. పీకేఆర్‌ స్థానంలో అధికారాన్ని హస్తగతం చేసుకుని సీఎం కావాలని అతడి అల్లుడు జైదేవ్‌ (సత్యదేవ్‌) భావిస్తాడు. అందుకు పార్టీలోని కొందరు దురాశపరులతో చేతులు కలుపుతాడు. అయితే, పీకేఆర్‌కు అత్యంత సన్నిహితుడు, ప్రజాదరణ కలిగిన నాయకుడు బ్రహ్మ తేజ (చిరంజీవి) మాత్రం జైదేవ్‌ సీఎం కాకుండా అడ్డు నిలబడతాడు. జన జాగృతి పార్టీ నుంచి, అసలు ఈ లోకం నుంచే బ్రహ్మను పంపించడానికి జైదేవ్‌ కుట్రలు పన్నుతాడు. మరి ఆ కుట్రలను బ్రహ్మ ఎలా ఎదుర్కొన్నాడు? జైదేవ్‌ నీచుడన్న విషయం జైదేవ్‌ భార్య సత్యప్రియ (నయనతార)కు ఎలా తెలిసింది? రాష్ట్ర పాలన దురాశపరుల చేతిలో పడకుండా బ్రహ్మ ఎలా అడ్డుకున్నాడు? ఇంతకీ బ్రహ్మకు, పీకేఆర్‌కు ఉన్న సంబంధం ఏంటి? (Godfather review) మధ్యలో మసూద్‌ భాయ్‌ (సల్మాన్‌) ఎవరు? తెలియాలంటే సినిమా చూడాల్సిందే.

ఎలా ఉందంటే:  ‘‘గాడ్‌ ఫాదర్‌’ స్క్రీన్‌ప్లే కొత్తగా, ఆశ్చర్యకరంగా ఉంటుంది. మలయాళంలో చూడని పది పాత్రలు ఇందులో వేరే రూపంలో ఉంటాయి. ఇవన్నీ సర్‌ప్రైజింగ్‌గా ఉంటాయి. ఓపిక ఉంటే ‘లూసిఫర్‌’ని మరోసారి చూసి రండి’’ - ఇదీ ఇటీవల ఇంటర్వ్యూలో దర్శకుడు మోహన్‌రాజా చెప్పిన విషయం. తన స్క్రీన్‌ప్లే, మార్పులపై ఎంత నమ్మకంతో చెప్పారో దాన్నే తెరపై చూపించడంలో విజయం సాధించారు దర్శకుడు. ‘లూసిఫర్‌’ చూసిన వాళ్లు కూడా ‘గాడ్‌ఫాదర్‌’ను ఎంజాయ్‌ చేస్తారు. పీకేఆర్‌ మరణంతో సినిమా మొదలు పెట్టిన దర్శకుడు, కొద్దిసేపటికే అసలు కథేంటి? సినిమాలో పాత్రల తీరుతెన్నులు వివరంగా చెప్పేశారు. ఇక ప్రేక్షకుడు చూడాల్సింది తెరపై కనిపించే రాజకీయ చదరంగమే.

ఈ చదరంగంలో రెండు బలమైన పావులుగా ఒకవైపు బ్రహ్మగా చిరంజీవి, జైదేవ్‌గా సత్యదేవ్‌లు నిలబడ్డారు. ఒక్కో సన్నివేశంలో ఒక్కొక్కరిది పై చేయి ఉంటుంది. అయితే, బ్రహ్మ పాత్ర కీలకం కావడంతో అంతర్లీనంగా అతడే ఒక మెట్టుపైన ఉంటాడు. (Godfather review) చిరంజీవి కనిపించే ప్రతి సన్నివేశమూ ఆయన్ను ఎలివేట్‌ చేసిన విధానం స్టైలిష్‌గా బాగుంది. ఆ సన్నివేశాలకు తమన్‌ నేపథ్యం సంగీతం థియేటర్‌ను ఓ ఊపు ఊపేసింది.

జన జాగృతి పార్టీ పగ్గాలు బ్రహ్మ చేపట్టకుండా జైదేవ్‌, అతడి మద్దతుదారులు చేసే పయత్నాలు, వాటిని బ్రహ్మ తిప్పి కొట్టడం ఇలా ప్రతి సన్నివేశమూ నువ్వా-నేనా అన్నట్లు ప్రథమార్ధం సాగుతుంది. విరామ సన్నివేశానికి ముందు జైలులో చిరు ఫైట్‌, సంభాషణలు అభిమానులు మెచ్చేలా ఉన్నాయి. ఆ తర్వాత సల్మాన్‌ రాకతో అసలు ట్విస్ట్‌ మొదలవుతుంది. అసలు బ్రహ్మ ఎవరు? మసూద్‌ గ్యాంగ్‌ అతడిని ఎందుకు సపోర్ట్‌ చేస్తుంది? జైదేవ్‌ కుట్రలను బ్రహ్మ ఎలా ఛేదించుకుంటూ వచ్చాడు? ఇలా ద్వితీయార్ధం ఒక రెగ్యులర్‌ కమర్షియల్‌ ఫార్మాట్‌లో సాగుతుంది. ప్రథమార్ధంలో ఉన్నంత డ్రామా, ఎలివేషన్స్‌ ద్వితీయార్ధానికి వచ్చే సరికి కాస్త రొటీన్‌ అనిపిస్తాయి. (Godfather review) పతాక సన్నివేశాల్లో పెద్దగా మెరుపులేవీ ఉండవు. అయితే, ఒకవైపు చిరంజీవి, మరోవైపు సత్యదేవ్‌లు తమ నటనతో అవి కనిపించకుండా చేశారు.  ప్రతి సన్నివేశాన్నీ చిరు అభిమానులు మెచ్చేలా మోహన్‌రాజా తీర్చిదిద్దారు. హీరోయిజం ఎలివేట్‌ అయ్యేలా యాక్షన్‌ సన్నివేశాలను తీర్చిదిద్దిన విధానం బాగుంది.

ఎవరెలా చేశారంటే: బ్రహ్మతేజ పాత్రలో ప్రజాదరణ కలిగిన నాయకుడిగా, మాస్‌ హీరోగా చిరంజీవి ఒదిగిపోయారు. తన అనుభవాన్ని అంతా రంగరించి చాలా సెటిల్డ్‌గా నటించారు. ఇక్కడ మోహన్‌లాల్‌ నటనతో చిరంజీవి నటన పోల్చాల్సిన అవసరం లేదు. ఇద్దరూ అగ్ర కథానాయకులే. ఎవరి నటనా ప్రతిభ వారిది.  ప్రతినాయకుడు జైదేవ్‌గా సత్యదేవ్‌ మెప్పించారు. స్టైలిష్‌ విలనిజం చూపించారు. సినిమాలో సత్యదేవ్‌ ఎక్కడా కనిపించలేదు. జైదేవ్‌గా అధికార దాహం కలిగిన విలన్‌గా ఒదిగిపోయారు. నయనతార, మురళీశర్మ, సునీల్‌, బ్రహ్మాజీ వారి పాత్రలకు న్యాయం చేశారు. పూరి జగన్నాథ్‌, షఫీ పాత్రలు ప్రత్యేక ఆకర్షణగా నిలిచాయి. తమన్‌ సంగీతం ఓకే. నేపథ్య సంగీతంతో సినిమాను ఎలివేట్‌ చేయడంలో అతడికి అతడే సాటి. చిరు పరిచయ సన్నివేశాలు, యాక్షన్‌ సన్నివేశాలు బాగా ఎలివేట్‌ అయ్యాయి. (Godfather review) నీరవ్‌ షా సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ డీసెంట్‌. మార్తాండ్‌ కె.వెంకటేశ్‌ ఎడిటింగ్‌ షార్ప్‌గా ఉంది. ఇక్కడ ప్రధానంగా చెప్పుకోవాల్సిన మరో వ్యక్తి రచయిత లక్ష్మీ భూపాల. ఇప్పటికే విడుదల చేసిన ప్రచార చిత్రాల్లో చిరు పలికిన సంభాషణలు ఆకట్టుకోగా.. థియేటర్‌లో విజిల్స్‌ వేయించాయి. వర్తమాన రాజకీయాలపై వేసిన సెటైర్లు బాగున్నాయి. చిరంజీవి అభిమానులు ఏం కోరుకుంటారో వాటన్నింటినీ రంగరించి దర్శకుడు మోహన్‌రాజా ‘లూసిఫర్‌’ను రీమేక్‌ చేశారు. దసరా సెలవుల్లో ‘గాడ్‌ఫాదర్‌’ మాస్‌ ఎంటర్‌టైనర్‌గా అలరిస్తాడు.

Godfather Movie Review: Tailormade Remake

Any Chiranjeevi starrer evokes curiosity. “Godfather” has created more interest as Bollywood superstar Salman Khan played a guest role. The film marks Salman Khan’s Telugu debut.

Let’s find out whether the film lives up to the expectations.

Story: When Chief Minister PKR passed away, his daughter Satya Priya (Nayanthara) and his son-in-law Jaidev (Satya Dev) decided to take the reins of the party and the government. Not aware of her husband's true nature, Satya Priya proposes Jaidev's name as the new president, which is rejected by MLAs and party men as they follow Brahma (Chiranjeevi), the stepson of the deceased CM.

Satya Priya hates Brahma and wants to keep him away from the party. Jaidev wants to buy all the MLAs with the money from a Mumbai don. The Mumbai mafia don, in return, seeks the permission to set up a drugs production company in the state when Jaidev becomes CM of the state.

How Brahma plays his game and saves his sister Satya Priya and the state from the schemes of Jaidev forms the rest of the story.

Artistes’ Performances: Megastar Chiranjeevi has played a role that suits his age and image. The appearance is also closer to his real life. Chiranjeevi is quite effective when he speaks less and does the acting with his body language. This is the first time that the megastar played a role without a female interest in the film. 

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in his Tollywood debut gets a raw deal. His entry into the film and his subsequent scenes look superficial.

Satyadev steps in the role played by Vivek Oberoi. Satyadev has put in his best efforts, but his role lacks evilness as Vivek showed in the original. He doesn’t pose as a strong villain to the mighty Chiranjeevi.

Nayanthara is dignified in her role. Sunil is okay. Murali Sharma shines. Puri Jagannadh as a journalist is impressive.

Technical Excellence: Nirav Shah’s cinematography is striking. Many shots in the film show his master touch. The sequences filmed on Necklace Road’s tricolor flag area are beautiful. Thaman’s music is a letdown. Lakshmi Bhupal’s dialogues are pale and normal. 

Highlights: Chiranjeevi’s act and style The first half

Analysis “Godfather” is the official remake of the Malayalam blockbuster “Lucifer” featuring Mohanlal. The Malayalam version is a commercial film and a blockbuster. The film was narrated in a gripping manner. It was one of the best political thrillers. 

The basic storyline of “Godfather” is the same as that of “Lucifer”, but director Mohan Raja has made many changes that have diluted the impact.

Until the interval bang, the film is as gripping as the original. While certain changes worked for the image of Chiranjeevi, the other crucial changes, especially the removal of the brother’s character, have changed the course of the drama. 

The protagonist is the son of the deceased chief minister and that is never explicitly told in the original movie. It is only implied with the ‘silence’ of the main character. This angle has given room for suspense in the story. In “Godfather”, at the very beginning, it is revealed that Chiranjeevi is the son of the deceased Chief Minister. So, the drama about the identity of “Lucifer” or “Brahma” goes missing. Then the arrival of the Chief Minister’s younger son is quite dramatic in "Lucifer". In the “Godfather”, the role is completely chopped off. 

What “Godfather” gets right is it doesn’t spoil the spirit of the original. The first half is narrated in a gripping manner. Plus, additional sequences like adding a heroine to Chiranjeevi or songs are not incorporated. This is a major relief. 

The political dialogues used by Chiranjeevi are in ok with the story, there is no forced additional political track. Puri Jagannadh’s journalist role and the sequences have also come out well. 

Even after the interval, the film goes as per the story for a few sequences. But thereafter, it turned into a complete ‘Telugu commercial film’. 

Satya Dev’s character lacks the evilness of Vivek Oberoi’s. In turn, Satya Dev looks like a meek person in front of Chiranjeevi, who is called the boss of the bosses. And We don’t get any high moments when Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan appear together. In the original, the same sequences filmed on Mohanlal and Prithviraj Sukumar provide goosebumps. 

Having said that, “Godfather” is a better action drama compared to recent masala movies. When it sticks to the original, it works big time, when it deviates, it goes down. If we stop comparing it with the original, it looks interesting. However, Chiranjeevi’s charisma and his swag, and certain portions bring joy to his fans. For others, it is a strictly okay watch. It is difficult for the audience who watched 'Lucifer' to relish this film. But those who didn't watch the original may like it. This is the tailormade remake for Chiranjeevi.

The film, God Father directed by Mohan Raja featuring Chiranjeevi, Nayanthara, Satyadev Kancharana and Bollywood star Salman Khan in a cameo, proves to be a worthy remake. Chiranjeevi embodies the character of Brahma brilliantly and comes up with a charismatic performance. Engaging screenplay, exhilarating background score and neat camera work make this political drama a festive watch. It’s safe to say the boss is back!

Nothing apart from Chiranjeevi's performance. Can’t deliver justice to the original (Lucifer). Chiru sir matched the Charishma of Mohanlal but the modified script made it a little boring. Salman khan has a cameo but it’s too routine. One time watchable that too just for Chiranjeevi. Else you can skip it

Post the debacle of Acharya, Chiranjeevi has taken a safe route and has remade a Malayalam hit Lucifer. Titled Godfather, this film has hit the screens today. Let’s see how it is.

The film starts with the death of a state CM. This leaves the key post open and in line to take over as the CM are Jai(Satyadev) and Satya(Nayanthara) the son in law and daughter of the late CM. But in comes one more power house in the party, Brahma(Chiranjeevi) to stop all this from happening. The rest of the story is about the cat and mouse game of who becomes the CM of the state finally.

Plus Points:

Godfather is the official remake of the Malayalam hit Lucifer but director Mohan Raja has made good changes to suit the sensibilities of the Telugu audience. Mohan Raja has stayed true to the story and narrated the film in an engaging manner.

The manner in which he has showcased Chiranjeevi is superb. All these years, we have seen Chiranjeevi in highly energetic roles but here in Godfather, he plays a mature politician and is very good. Chiranjeevi does not have many dialogues but he emotes superbly through his eyes. Though he does not dance or evoke comedy, his screen presence and settled performance will be loved by his fans.

Nayanthara plays a key role and brings a lot of depth to the film. But if there is one actor who steals the show it is none other than young hero Satyadev. He surprises you with his evil act and is a perfect enemy for Chiranjeevi. The manner in which Satyadev goes about his role is convincing and he impresses big time.

Murali Sharma gets a key role and he was impressive. The first half is filled with well written political moments which are well executed. Brahmaji, Sunil, Samutrakani do well in their roles.

The film has some really well written scenes. The jail episode between Chiranjeevi and Satyadev is executed superbly even though the megastar does not utter one dialogue.

Last but not the least, Salman Khan’s entry is perfectly timed into the narrative and gives the required mass moments for the fans. The climax fight, song and slow motion shots of Salman and Chiranjeevi are solid and end the film on a high.

Mini Points:

Lucifer had a very engaging drama and when compared to it, things are a bit low in Godfather. The second half becomes slow as there is not much story to showcase. That is the reason a song breaks out at the pre-climax time.

Also, Chiranjeevi looks a bit stiff in a few scenes during the end of the movie. The emotions in the second could have been more stronger. Salman Khan’s role looks fancy but is not justified properly by the end.

Also, the proceedings are a bit predictable. Though Satyadev is good, some more padding should have been given to him to enhance the villain angle in the film.

Technical Aspects:

Thaman is one more asset of the film as his BGM elevates the proceedings big time. The production design is very good and the colour tone used by the cameraman to showcase the political setup is amazing. Dialogues are decent and so was the editing part.

Coming to the director Mohan Raja, he is known as the remake specialist and he has done an impressive job with the film. He uses Chiranjeevi’s grace superbly and lets his eyes emote. The changes he makes or the mass elements he has added with Salman are good.

The best part of the film is that Mohan Raja does not force any over the top scenes or comedy and narrates the political thriller in a proper way. When you think the film is getting simple towards the end, he brings in Salman and ends the film on a high.

On the whole, Godfather is an impressive political thriller narrated in a sensible manner. A new age and mature Chiranjeevi, solid performance by Satyadev and Nayanthara and a fun cameo by Salman Khan are basic assets of the film. When compared to the original Lucifer, drama is missing a bit but that does not stop the fans and masses having a fun ride this Dussehra as the boss is back.

What’s it about?

When Chief Minister PKR dies, a question arises regarding the successor. PKR’s son-in-law Jaidev (Satya Dev) swiftly swings into action. His wife Satya Priya believes that her husband is doing everything for her and her family. She loathes her stepbrother Brahma (Chiranjeevi) and is determined that the party doesn’t go into his hands. 

Brahma, on the other hand, has the support of many MLAs, who act on his word. Understanding that Jaidev is trying to grab the party in his hands, Brahma plans that his sister Satya Priya becomes the new party president. Then, Jaidev’s game to become the new Chief Minister becomes tough. 

How Brahma exposes Jaidev’s true nature and averts his efforts and saves his sister from him becomes the main plot of this political drama.

An official remake of Malayalam blockbuster ‘Lucifer’, Chiranjeevi starrer ‘Godfather’ follows the spirit of the original but also differs from it. As director Mohan Raja said in his interviews, he has made many changes to the script, by omitting certain characters and adding new ones. The character of the Chief Minister’s younger son was removed entirely. Manju Warrier’s daughter role turns into Nayanthara’s sister here. 

The original film is not just about succession but drug cartels. The aspect of the drugs has remained in the ‘Godfather’. But the political drama and the successor game are altered. Political drama is over masalafied in ‘Godfather’.

‘Godfather’ is largely gripping in the first half. The biggest trick Mohan Raja has scored with this film is that he doesn’t let us think about Chiranjeevi’s usual introduction song or romantic thread. Thankfully, the film sticks to the original in this aspect. For the first time in his long career, Chiranjeevi has done a movie without the usual dance numbers or romantic angles. 

Mohan Raja succeeds in presenting a new megastar that befits his age. 

If we start comparing the film in all aspects with the original, the review will be too long to read. In short, ‘Godfather’ follows the outline of ‘Lucifer’ but gets some portions rights, some things wrong. We don’t get many complaints with the first half, but the final act completely goes wrong. 

The very decision of casting Salman Khan is bad. Even the scenes involving Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan lack the native factor and don’t provide any thrilling moments. The final moments give a feel of the rushed product. 

Coming to performances, Chiranjeevi’s swag and style is the main highlight. He reinvents himself with this film. 

Among the other characters, Nayanthara (dignified), Satya Dev (decent), and Murali Sharma (good) shine. Sunil, Brahmaji, Samuthirakani, Divi Vadthya, and Shafi are okay. 

Among the technicians, cinematographer Nirav Shah and dialogue writer Lakshmi Bhupala deserve appreciation. Thaman’s music is standard. Director Mohan Raja does a neat job in remaking the original. 

Bottom-line:  For all these years, Chiranjeevi has done films or roles that provided scope for his dance numbers or mass sequences. For a change, he reinvents himself with ‘Godfather’, which is bereft of such moments. This is a novelty. Though the film is not as good as the original ‘Lucifer’, it makes a decent watch on its own.

GodFather movie: Fans compare Chiranjeevi with Mohanlal 

Lucifer has been one of the most successful films in Malayalam and of Mohanlal's illustrious career. Fans of the superstar had not been too happy about its Telugu remake. However, as the release date drew nearer and more promotional content related to GodFather was shared by the makers, fans have opened up to the Telugu version as well. Meanwhile, fans of Chiranjeevi have been awaiting the film's release for the longest time.

Those who caught the early morning shows of GodFather in the Southern territories have been raving about Chiranjeevi's performance in the movie. As far as the movie goes, people are saying that it is a faithful remake of Lucifer and stays honest to the core story, but has enough for Chiranjeevi to shine through. The music from S Thaman has also been praised. Viewers have commented that Salman Khan has played his cameo role perfectly well and Nayanthara too has performed well.

God Father Movie Review: Chiranjeevi is back with a bang

The year 2022 had been a low year for Chiranjeevi, the actor, who isn't prone to much criticism in his illustrious career. The Megastar of Telugu cinema has been caught in the eye of a storm for his choice of scripts after the debacle of Acharya . And then, we witness God Father , an official adaptation of Mohanlal's 2019 Malayalam action drama Lucifer . The revenge drama, in a sense, is filled with high-octane action blocks and some solid surprises, including a crucial cameo from Bollywood superstar Salman Khan as Masoom Bhai.

Coming to the story, the death of Chief Minister PKR (Sarvadaman D Banerjee) has his party looking for his successor. PKR's son-in-law and his party's IT wing in charge Jayadev (Satyadev Kancharana) wants to lobby for the top chair by pooling funds, albeit illegally, and also wants to wrest power while pushing his vested interests with the help of the drug mafia based in Mumbai. However, there's one man destined to shatter his dreams and stand as an obstacle -- Brahma (Chiranjeevi).

Set in the backdrop of politics, God Father comes as a breath of fresh air for Chiranjeevi, who is known for his commercial potboilers. Chiranjeevi, with his inimitable style and swag, carries the film on his strong shoulders and delivers a knockout punch. Without actually throwing too much light on the demise of PKR, God Father -- unlike its original -- sharpens its focus by concentrating on the contemporary socio-political scenario. The first half clearly establishes the characters, with God Father 's refusal to bow down to the star image of its leading man. When the high voltage action sequence or a mass moment arrives, Chiru does it so in his typical style, but his character arc saves it from being projected as an over-the-top tribute to his huge mass appeal.

When Brahma steps into the party meetings to share his opinion, he is confident and has pointers when it's time for him to open up. It's quite refreshing to see Chiranjeevi as Brahma because a star and someone who has thrashed a dozen guys barely a scene ago, but inside the party office meeting or inside the jail -- an environment he has never expected to be a part of-- he is perfectly Brahma, the once dreaded gangster Qureshi, who is as dangerous as a lion that's waiting calmly for its prey.

The confrontation scenes between Brahma-Jayadev/Brahma-Narayana Varma (Murli Sharma) and the skirmish between Brahma and an honest investigative journalist Govardhan (Puri Jagannadh) display a confident Chiranjeevi, something that we haven't seen in his last project. When a mass hero like Chiranjeevi talks less and acts with his eyes, then the sky's the limit and it is where director Mohan Raja has succeeded to the fullest.

In stark contrast to Brahma is his nemesis Jayadev, whose character is pretty much an embodiment of evil. Satyadev is undoubtedly loud, but in a few scenes, he has outshined Chiranjeevi that we hate him. It would be an exaggeration to say that all the characters and all the scenes in the film have a purpose and have worked like a charm.

There is attention to the smallest details in God Father , like the art direction, the lighting, and particularly Nirav Shan's intuitive camera that knows just how to capture the lovely yet somber mood of a few scenes. S Thaman's beautiful songs and captivating background score add another layer of feeling to the riveting revenge drama here. It's a film that's so close to perfection with small lapses that come as convenient coincidences in the plot.

All the actors delivered pitch-perfect performances. But it was Chiranjeevi's show all the way. The way he carried his own charisma, energy, swag, and mass appeal is just brilliant. Mohan Raja tried to tap the actor's potential with great aplomb and the result is a resounding success. When he utters the dialogues, they seem like a bunch of bullets coming out from a gun. There are punch dialogues replete, which will surely drive meme creators crazy in the days to come.

Murli Sharma deftly marries a power-hungry politician's vulnerability with the naivety of a helpless leader who believes he is entitled to become the Chief Minister of the state. Satyadev, playing a power-obsessed antagonist and unyielding in equal measure is a delight to watch. He springs a surprise with his adept performance but has to work more on his diction as we find it difficult to understand his dialogues in a few instances. Shifting seamlessly from feisty to fragile to bitter, Nayanthara delivers a deeply heartfelt performance that feels mature beyond her years. Brahmaji, Sunil, Sayaji Shinde, and Shafi leave a lasting impression in their brief roles. Salman Khan makes an impact in his limited screen time; most of the credit goes to how it was written by the director. His moments with Chiru in the climax definitely add up to make this revenge saga more impactful.

Overall, God Father is a feast for Chiranjeevi fans, who have been longing to watch the actor or the star in him for years now. Watch it definitely for the Megastar, who delivers enough bang for your buck!

మలయాళంలో సూపర్ హిట్టైన "లూసిఫర్" ని తెలుగులో చిరంజీవితో రీమేక్ చేయడం, పైగా సల్మాన్ ఖాన్ ఇందులో ఒక ప్రధానపాత్ర పోషించడం వంటి కారణాల వల్ల ఈ సినిమాపై అంచనాలు ఏర్పడ్డాయి. పాటలు పెద్దగా లేకపోయినా, విడుదలైన తార్ మార్ టక్కర్ మార్ రికార్డులు సృష్టించకపోయినా ఈ సినిమాపై ప్రేక్షకుల దృష్టిమాత్రం కేంద్రీకృతమై ఉంది. 

చిరంజీవి సినిమా అంటేనే డ్యాన్సులు, ఫైట్లు గుర్తొస్తాయి. ఫైట్లున్నా డ్యాన్సులు మాత్రం లేవిందులో. అసలు హీరోయినే లేని మొదటి చిరంజీవి సినిమా ఇదేనేమో. పేరుకి లూసిఫర్ రీమేకే అయినా చాలా మార్పులు చేసారు. 

లూసిఫర్ చూడని వాళ్లకి ఏమీ చెప్పాల్సిన పనిలేదు. కానీ చూసినవాళ్లకి చెప్పాలంటే అందులోని సవితికూతురు పాత్రని ఇందులో మరదల్ని చేసారు. అందులో ఉన్న సీయం కొడుకు క్యారక్టర్ని ఇందులో పూర్తిగా ఎత్తేసారు. బహుశా ఆ క్యారక్టర్ పెడితే పవన్ కళ్యాణ్ క్యారక్టర్ కి పోలికలొస్తాయనేమో. జైల్లో వినిపించే రోమాలు నిక్కబొడుచుకునే ఉద్యమగీతం కూడా ఇక్కడ లేదు. చెప్పుకుంటూ పోతే చాలా మార్పులు కనిపిస్తాయి. ఎలా చూసుకున్నా ఇది చిరంజీవి ఫ్యాన్స్ కోసం టైలర్ మేడ్ చేసిన కథనంలా ఉంది. 

కొన్ని సీన్లైతే మరీ వెటకారంగా ఉన్నాయి. రాష్ట్ర హోం మంత్రి, పైగా సీయం అవ్వాలనుకునే స్టేచరున్న మురళీశర్మ పాత్ర ముంబాయిలో డ్రగ్ మాఫియా గ్యాంగుని వాళ్ల డెన్నుకెళ్లి కలవడం లాంటి సన్నివేశం మరీ థర్డ్ గ్రేడ్ సినిమా స్థాయిలాగ ఉంది. 

అలాగే జైల్లో చిరంజీవి పూరీ జగన్నాథ్ కి ఫ్లాష్ బ్యాకులో ఒక చిన్న సీన్ చెప్పగానే మారిపోవడమేంటో సిల్లీగా ఉంది. 

లూసిఫర్ తో పోలిక పక్కనపెట్టి ఈ సినిమా వరకు చర్చించుకుంటే చిరంజీవి ఆద్యంతం హుందాగా కనిపిస్తూ వయసుకు తగ్గట్టు కనిపించారు. అయితే ఆయననుంచి ఆశించే నామమాత్రపు డ్యాన్సు కూడా ఇందులో లేదు. చివర్లో వచ్చే తార్ మార్ టక్కర్ మార్ లో కూడా సరైన స్టెప్పు ఒక్కటి కూడా వేయలేదు. పైగా దానికి ప్రభుదేవా కోరియోగ్రఫీ. ఎంత చిరంజీవి వయసుని దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకున్నా ఆయననుంచి కనీసం ఖైది 150లో షూలేస్ స్టెప్పులాంటిదైనా ఆయన ఫ్యాన్స్ ఆశించడం సహజం. అది పెద్దగా శ్రమలేని స్టెప్పే. ఆ విషయంలో మాత్రం పూర్తిగా నిరాశకలిగినట్టే. అసలు తార్ మార్ పాట పెట్టి ప్రయోజనం లేకుండా పోయింది. 

ఇక టెక్నికల్ గా చూసుకుంటే సంగీతం వీక్. ఒక్క "నజభజజజర" పాట తప్పిస్తే మిగతావేవీ ఆకట్టుకోవు. ఆఖరికి ఐటం సాంగ్ కూడా వేస్టైపోయింది. కమెర్షియల్ గా "ఊ అంటావా" లాంటి ఐటం సాంగ్స్ కూడా సినిమాల్ని నిలబెడుతున్న రోజులివి. కానీ ఆ అవకాశాన్ని జారవిడుచుకోవడం ఆశ్చర్యం. అలాగే బ్యాక్ గ్రౌండ్ స్కోర్ కూడా బాలేదు. జస్ట్ యావరేజ్ అండ్ రొటీన్ అని చెప్పాలి.

పాటల్లోని లిరిక్స్ కూడా సర్వసాధారణంగా ఉన్నాయి. సంభాషణల్లో కూడా  పెద్దగా మెరుపుల్లేకపోయినా పర్వాలేదనిపించాయి. "మీ గ్యాంగ్ లీడర్", "నా ప్రాణం ఖరీదెంతో.." లాంటి వాక్యాలతో చిరంజీవి గత సినిమాల్ని గుర్తు తెచ్చే ప్రయత్నం చేసాడు రచయిత. 

ఒరిజినల్ కి చేసిన మార్పులు గొప్పగా లేవు, తీసేసినవి పెట్టుంటే బెటర్ గా ఉండేదేమో అన్నట్టు ఉంది. మొత్తమ్మీద ఒరిజినల్ స్క్రిప్ట్ మీద కూర్చుని కసరత్తు చేసి దాని స్థాయిని పెంచాల్సింది పోయి తగ్గించారు. అలాగని చిరంజీవికి హీరోయిన్ ని పెట్టడం లాంటివి అవసరం లేదు. కనీసం పొలిటికల్ డ్రామాని మరింత పకడ్బందీగా, తెలివిగా నడిపుండాల్సింది. కేవలం 40 మంది ఎమ్మెల్యేలని కొనడమన్న పాయింటుతోటే మొత్తం డ్రామా నడపడం భావదారిద్రంగా ఉంది. 

నటీనటుల విషయనికొస్తే మురళీశర్మ మెథడ్ యాక్టింగ్ చేసారు. విచిత్రమైన బాడీ లాంగ్వేజ్ తో ప్రత్యేకంగా కనిపించే ప్రాయత్నం చేసాడు. చాలానాళ్ల తర్వాత సయజీషిండే కనిపించాడు. సముద్రఖని మలయాళమాతృకలోని పాత్రకి యథాతథంగా న్యాయం చేసాడు. సీయం పాత్ర వేసింది "సిరివెన్నెల" హీరో సర్వదమన్ బెనర్జీ అని ఎంతమంది గుర్తుపట్టారో తెలియదు. షఫీది కూడా వెండితెరమీద బహుకాలదర్శనం. టాప్ కమెడియన్ గా వెలుగు వెలిగి, హీరోగ ఉనికి చాటుకుని అస్సలు ప్రాధాన్యత లేని చిన్న పాత్రలో సునీల్ కనిపించడం బాధాకరం. 

నయనతారది మొత్తం సీరియస్ పాత్రే. కన్నీళ్లు పెట్టుకోవడానికే తప్ప వైవిధ్యం చూపించడానికి పెద్దగా స్కోప్ లేదు. సత్యదేవ్ మాత్రం విలన్ గా తనవరకు న్యాయం చేసాడు. కానీ చిరంజీవి ఇమేజ్ కి సరితూగే విలనీని ప్రదర్శించలేకపోయాడు. ఒరిజినల్లో వివేక్ ఒబెరాయ్ మరింత క్రుయల్ గా కనిపిస్తాడు. 

సల్మాన్ ఖాన్ ఆటలో అరటిపండుల ఉన్నాడు. లూసిఫర్ కి చేసిన మార్పుల్లో ప్రిథ్విరాజ్ పోషించిన ఈ పాత్ర నిడివి కూడా పెంచుంటారని అనుకున్నారు చాలామంది. కానీ అదేం జరగలేదు. 

ఇక ప్రధానంగా చిరంజీవి హ్యాండ్ సం గా, షార్ప్ గా కనిపించారు. చాలా బ్యాలెన్స్డ్ గా, ఎక్కడా ఓవరాక్షన్ లేకుండా కంపోజ్డ్ గా నటించారు. కానీ ఆయన సినిమాల్లోని హ్యూమర్ కి, డ్యాన్సులకి అలవాటు పడిన ఫ్యాన్స్ కి ఇందులో అవేవీ లేకపోవడం వల్ల ఎలా స్పందించాలో తెలియని విధంగా ఉంటుంది. అంటే సినిమాగా ఎలా ఉందని చెప్పినా చిరంజీవి సినిమాగా మాత్రం గొప్పగా ఉందనిపించదు. 

ఇంటర్వెల్ వరకు బాగానే ఉందనిపించినా ద్వితీయార్థానికి వచ్చేసరికి క్రమంగా కథనం ఫక్తు కమెర్షియల్ ఫార్మాట్ లోకి వెళ్లిపోయి రొటీన్ అనిపిస్తుంది. సల్మాన్ ఖాన్ తెర మీద ఉన్నా, అతనొక తెలుగు డయలాగ్ చెప్పినా మనసు ఉప్పొంగి చప్పట్లు కొట్టాలనిపించదు.. ఏదో అలా చూడడం తప్ప. 

కేరళ వంటకాన్ని తెలుగు స్టైల్లో వండివార్చే పనిలో రుచి కాంప్రమైజ్ అయిపోయింది. లూసిఫర్ చూసినవారికి మాతృకే బాగుందనిపించవచ్చు. చూడని వాళ్లకి పూర్తి పొలిటికల్ డ్రామా అనే తప్ప పెద్దగా కంప్లైంట్ లేకపోవచ్చు.

‍కథేంటంటే ముఖ్యమంత్రి పి.కె రామదాసు అలియాస్‌ పీకేఆర్‌ అకాల మరణంతో జన జాగృతి పార్టీ(జేజేపీ) పెద్దల కన్ను సీఎం సీటుపై పడుతుంది. తదుపరి సీఎం కావాలని అతని అల్లుడు జైదేవ్‌(సత్యదేవ్‌) భావిస్తాడు. సీఎం సీటు కోసం పార్టీలోని కొంతమంది అవినీతిపరులతో చేతులు కలుపుతాడు. అయితే పీకేఆర్‌ సన్నిహితుడు, జేజేపీ పార్టీ కీలక నేత బ్రహ్మ తేజ(చిరంజీవి)మాత్రం జైదేవ్‌ ఆగడాలకు అడ్డుకట్ట వేస్తూ సీఎం కాకుండా చేస్తాడు.

దీంతో జైదేవ్‌ అతన్ని హత్య చేయించేందుకు కుట్రలు పన్నుతాడు. ఆ కుట్రలను బ్రహ్మ తేజ ఎలా తిప్పి కొట్టాడు. జైదేవ్‌ అసలు స్వరూపం భార్య సత్యప్రియ(నయనతార)కు ఎలా తెలిసింది? , అసలు బ్రహ్మ ఎవరు ? పీకేఆర్‌తో అతనికి ఉన్న సంబంధం ఏంటి? మధ్యలో వచ్చిన మసూన్‌ భాయ్‌(సల్మాన్‌ ఖాన్‌) ఎవరు? చివరకు బ్రహ్మ ఎవర్ని ముఖ్యమంత్రిని చేశాడు? దాని కోసం ఎలాంటి పరిస్ధితులను ఎదురుకున్నాడు? అనేదే మిగతా కథ

ఎలా ఉందంటే.. గాడ్‌ ఫాదర్‌ సినిమా మలయాళ హిట్‌ మూవీ లూసిఫర్‌కి రీమేక్‌. మోహన్‌ లాల్‌ నటించిన  ఈ సినిమా తెలుగులో కూడా విడుదలైంది. అంతేకాదు ఓటీటీలోకి కూడా వచ్చేసింది. అలాంటి సినిమాను ఎంచుకొని చిరంజీవి పెద్ద సాహసమే చేశాడు. కథపై నమ్మకంతో సినిమా చేశానని చెప్పాడు. చిరంజీవి నమ్మకం నిజమైంది. లూసిఫర్‌ చూసిన వాళ్లు కూడా గాడ్‌ ఫాదర్‌ని ఎంజాయ్‌ చేస్తారు. తెలుగు ప్రేక్షకులకు తగ్గట్టుగా మాతృకలో కొన్ని మార్పులు చేశాడు దర్శకుడు మోహన్‌ రాజా. తనదైన స్క్రీన్‌ప్లేతో అద్భుతంగా కథను ముందుకు నడిపించాడు.

పీకేఆర్‌ మరణంతో సినిమా ప్రారంభం అవుతుంది. ప్రధాన పాత్రలను పరిచయం తర్వాత అసలు కథ ప్రారంభం అవుతుంది. ఇద్దరు బలమైన,తెలివైన నాయకులు జైదేవ్‌(సత్యదేవ్‌), బ్రహ్మ(చిరంజీవి) ఆడే రాజకీయ చదరంగం అందరిని ఆకట్టుకుంది. ఇంటర్వెల్‌ ముందు చిరు పలికే డైలాగ్స్‌ ఫాన్స్‌ని ఈలలు వేయిస్తుంది. ఇక సల్మాన్‌ ఖాన్‌ ఎంట్రీతో సినిమా మరోస్థాయికి వెళ్తుంది.

మసూద్‌ గ్యాంగ్‌ బ్రహ్మకు ఎందుకు సహాయం చేసింది?బ్రహ్మ నేపథ్యం ఏంటి.. చివరకు ఎవరిని సీఎం చేశారు?ఇలా సెకండాఫ్‌ సాగుతుంది. టిపికల్‌ నెరేషన్‌తో కొన్ని చోట్ల పొలిటికల్‌ డ్రామాను ఆకట్టుకునే విధంగా మలచలేకపోయాడు. హీరోయిజం ఎలివేషన్‌ మీదే ఎక్కువ దృష్టిపెట్టాడు. ప్రతి సీన్‌ చిరంజీవి అభిమానులను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకొని తీర్చిదిద్దినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. యాక్షన్‌ సన్నివేశాలు అయితే అదిరిపోతాయి.

ఎవరెలా చేశారంటే.. చిరంజీవి నటనకు వంక పెట్టాల్సిన పనిలేదు. ఏ పాత్రలోనైనా పరకాయ ప్రవేశం చేస్తాడు. బ్రహ్మతేజ పాత్రలో మెగాస్టార్‌ చిరంజీవి ఒదిగిపోయాడు. యాక్షన్‌ సీన్స్‌లో కూడా అద్భుతంగా నటించాడు. తన అభిమాన హీరోతో స్రీన్‌ షేర్‌ చేసుకునే అవకాశం రావడంతో సత్యదేవ్‌ రెచ్చిపోయి నటించాడు. విలన్‌ జైదేవ్‌ పాత్రకి వందశాతం న్యాయం చేశాడు. ముఖ్యంగా తన నిజ స్వరూపం గురించి నయనతార కు చెప్పే సన్నివేశంలో సత్యదేవ్ నటన చాలా బాగుంటుంది.

అతిధి పాత్రలో సల్మాన్‌ ఖాన్‌ అదరగొట్టేశాడు. యాక్షన్‌ సీన్స్‌లో అద్భుతంగా నటించి మాస్‌ ప్రేక్షకులకు ఫుల్‌ కిక్‌ ఇచ్చాడు. ముఖ్యమంత్రి పీకేఆర్‌ కూతురు, సత్యదేవ్‌ భార్య సత్యప్రియగా నయన తార తనదైన నటనతో ఆకట్టుకుంది. సునీల్‌, బ్రహ్మాజీ, పూరి జగన్నాథ్‌, షఫీలతో పాటు మిగిలిన నటీనటులు తమ పాత్రల పరిధిమేర నటించారు.

ఇక సాంకేతిక విషయానికొస్తే.. ఈ సినిమాకు మరో ప్రధాన బలం తమన్‌ సంగీతం. తనదైన బీజీఎంతో సినిమా స్థాయిని పెంచేశాడు. నీరవ్‌ షా సినిమాటోగ్రఫీ, మార్తాండ్‌ కే.వెంకటేశ్‌ ఎడిటింగ్‌ బాగుంది. నిర్మాణ విలువలు సినిమా స్థాయికి తగినట్లు ఉన్నతంగా ఉన్నాయి.

'The Goat Life' Movie Review

After impressing the telugu audience as varadharaja mannar in ‘salaar’, malayalam star hero prithviraj sukumaran has brought the ‘the goat life’ to us.

After impressing the Telugu audience as Varadharaja Mannar in ‘Salaar’, Malayalam star hero Prithviraj Sukumaran has brought the ‘The Goat Life’ to us. He worked very hard on this movie and the entire team worked for more than 4 years on this project. It is releasing in multiple languages and the trailer attracted a lot of true movie lovers. Let us see how it turned out.

Najeeb (Prithviraj Sukumaran) is a very common man who hails from the rural parts of Telangana. He is not educated but leads his life happily with his mother and pregnant wife. With the desire of living a better life with his family, he decides to go to Saudi Arabia for work. He takes the help of a friend who arranges a visa for him. Upon reaching Saudi Arabia, he realises that he along with another person are conned. They are made slaves in the desert. They go through a lot of atrocities and they are made to work like animals in that place. They lead a very hard life and Najeeb reaches a point where he couldn’t even recognise himself after a few years. What did Najeeb do to get out of that place and how will be reach his family at the end forms the rest of the story.

In the world of cinema, there is one film in each genre that will set a benchmark for the rest. It becomes a reference point when we talk about such movies. When it comes to survival dramas, the first film people talk about is ‘Cast Away’. It revolves around a person who gets deserted in an unknown region for years trying to come out of it and go to his home. Everyone will be moved by this movie and we can now say that there is a great survival drama in Indian cinema too. A few attempts were made in this genre but ‘The Goat Life’ is a diamond that should be celebrated. It is a wonder if you have the heart to enjoy such a movie. We don’t feel that it is fictional cinema as we see a person’s story happening in front of our eyes. The feeling we get while seeing Najeeb and his personal struggle is inexplicable. The major warning to everyone is that people who want regular entertainer should stay away from this movie. It is a movie filled with sorrows, tears, hope and angst. We cry for a few scenes and some people cannot bear to see the struggle of the protagonist.

We get restless but at the same time we get motivated about life. This movie shows what hope can make a person do and how he can fight all the odds to live. It shows how hard life is for some people and our worries are nothing in front of them. We need a lot of patience to watch ‘The Goat Life’ which is around three hours long. It is tough to watch a survival drama filled with sadness throughout for many but if we connect to the hero, the three hours will not bore you a bit. We get drenched in emotions and it will haunt you for the next couple of days. Many opine that people living in Gulf countries earn a lot of money and they can lead a happy life but it is big question regarding the kind of life they life. No one answers to this. Only a few get good jobs and the rest do regular chores to lead life while others get deceived by brokers and end up as slaves to sheikhs. Such a man who loses everything decides to fight against everything an go home. It is the story of ‘Goat Life’. It is based on a novel and the three hour film makes you weep and restless too. That is why Blessy made it more interesting and engaging with his screenplay.

He starts with the hero getting conned and deceived and then starts going back and forth by showing present and past lives. The shot were he shows the hero struggling for a glass of water and how he used to live happily in the seashore despite not having any money at time is very impactful. He even shows how the lack of interaction with people can turn a person and Prithviraj did a brilliant job in showcasing it in a realistic manner. The director’s poetic touch can be seen in the hero-heroine son. The minute detailing is wonderful and there are many scenes that have an indirect symbolism and deeper meaning. The first half moves on a quicker note while the second half tests your patience a bit. There is nothing wrong in that as the hero is seen travelling through the dessert in the second half. The intensity is maintained throughout and it is tough to see those sorrows at times. The ending scenes are very emotional and touches your heart. Everyone may not like it but ‘Goat Life’ is magical for people who can enjoy such movies.

Performances :

What should we say about Prithviraj Sukumaran? We get surprised seeing him in this character. We wonder if he is the same Varadharaja Mannar from ‘Salaar’ or not. It is quite hard to believe that a big star like him accepted this movie. Only a person with a limitless passion for acting can take up such roles. Despite working on various films, he managed to stay in this character for so long and maintain the same mood throughout the shooting stage which is extraordinary. The makeup looks so natural and Prithviraj’s nuanced acting showcased the change in body language over time. He even showed aging through his voice modulation. He should be saluted for his dedication and he deserves a lot of awards for this movie. Amala Paul is good in her role. The two actors who travel along with the protagonist have also done a fantastic job. The rest of the actor were apt in their roles.

Technicians :

AR Rahman is not in great form lately but he showcased why he is one of the greatest composers ever through this movie. His background score for ‘Goat Life’ is wonderful and squeezes your heart with his music. He played a vital role in taking the emotions to the next level. Though the songs are not that catchy, his re-recording makes sure that he showcases his standard to everyone. We get a feeling that this is an international film that we are witnessing in front of us. The camera work is brilliant and the production values are splendid. Director Blessy made sure that his dream project was made in the way he wanted without any compromises. His work is seen on screen. His craft in making a three-hour movie out of this thin storyline showcases his caliber. This is a director’s film from start to end.

ఈసారి సంక్రాంతి సందడి తెర తీసిన సినిమా హనుమాన్. పేరుకు ఇది చిన్న సినిమా కానీ ప్రేక్షకుల్లో దీనిపై మంచి అంచనాలే నెలకొన్నాయి. మరి ఆ అంచనాలను హనుమాన్ ఎంత మేర అందుకుందో చూద్దాం పదండి.

అంజనాద్రి అనే ఊరిలో చిన్న చిన్న దొంగతనాలు చేస్తూ అల్లరి చిల్లరగా తిరిగే కుర్రాడు హనుమంతు (తేజ సజ్జ). అతడికి అమృత (అమృత అయ్యర్) అంటే చిన్నప్పట్నుంచీ ఇష్టం. తమ ఊరిని గుప్పెట్లో పెట్టుకున్న పాలెగాళ్లకు ఎదురు వెళ్లడంతో బందుపొట్లను పంపి ఆమెని చంపాలని చూస్తారు. వాళ్ళ నుండి ను కాపాడే ప్రయత్నంలో చావు బతుకుల మధ్య సముద్రంలో పడిపోతాడు హనుమంతు. అక్కడి నుంచి ప్రాణాలతో బయటపడి వచ్చాక హనుమంతు ఒక్కసారిగా అంతులేని శక్తిమంతుడిగా మారతాడు. అతడికి ఆ శక్తి ఎలా వచ్చింది.. ఆ శక్తిని చేజిక్కించుకోవడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తున్న ఓ దుష్టుడితో హనుమంతు పోరాడి ఎలా గెలిచాడు అన్నది మిగతా కథ.

కథనం- విశ్లేషణ:

గత ఏడాది ప్రభాస్ ప్రధాన పాత్రలో ఆదిపురుష్ సినిమా వచ్చింది. హీరోగా ప్రభాస్ స్థాయి ఏంటో చెప్పాల్సిన పనిలేదు. తొలి రోజు థియేటర్లలో రాముడిగా తన పరిచయ సన్నివేశం తెరపై కనిపించినపుడు ఆడిటోరియాలు దద్దరిల్లడం మామూలే. కానీ అదే సినిమాలో ఒక అర గంట గడిచాక మనకు అస్సలు పరిచయం లేని ఓ నటుడు కనిపించినప్పుడు కూడా థియేటర్ అదే స్థాయిలో హోరెత్తిపోయింది. అందుకు కారణం ఆ నటుడు కాదు.. అతను పోషించిన పాత్ర. ఈ క్యారెక్టర్ హనుమంతుడిది అని ఈపాటికి అర్థం అయిపోయి ఉంటుంది. పిల్లలు, పెద్దలు అని తేడా లేదు.. హనుమంతుడు అనగానే ముఖాల్లో చిరునవ్వు పులుముకుంటుంది. ఎక్కడ లేని ఉత్సాహం వస్తుంది. ఆ రూపం.. దాని సమ్మోహన శక్తి అలాంటివి మరి. మన పౌరాణికాల్లో ఆ పాత్రను ఎంతో గొప్పగా వాడుకున్నారు కానీ తర్వాత తర్వాత ఆ పాత్ర కనుమరుగై పోయింది. అయితే హాలీవుడ్ సినిమాలో సూపర్ హీరోలను చూసి గూస్ బంప్స్ తెచ్చుకునే మన ప్రేక్షకులకు.. అంతకు మించి పూనకాలు తెప్పించగల పాత్ర హనుమంతుడిది అని తర్వాతి తరం దర్శకులు ఎవరు గుర్తించలేకపోయారు. అయితే ఇప్పుడు యువ దర్శకుడు ప్రశాంత్ వర్మ ఈ మర్మాన్ని గుర్తించాడు. హనుమంతుడి పాత్రను అద్భుతంగా వాడుకొని మనదైన సూపర్ హీరో సినిమాను అందించాడు. ఈ పక్కా లోకల్ సూపర్ హీరో సినిమాకు యూనివర్సల్ అప్పీల్ ఉండడం.. భాషతో సంబంధం లేకుండా ప్రేక్షకులను ఆకట్టుకునేలా తెరకెక్కడం విశేషం. కథ సగటు సూపర్ హీరో సినిమాల తరహాలోనే ఉన్నప్పటికీ.. వినోదాత్మక కథనం, మ్యాజికల్ మూమెంట్స్ ఈ సినిమాను ప్రత్యేకంగా నిలబెట్టాయి.

ఇండియన్ సినిమాలో సూపర్ హీరో సినిమాలు చాలా తక్కువ. క్రిష్ లాంటి కొన్ని చిత్రాలు మాత్రమే పకడ్బందీగా రూపొంది ప్రేక్షకులను ఆకట్టుకున్నాయి. అయితే ఆ సినిమా కూడా పూర్తిగా మన నేటివిటీతో కనిపించదు. హాలీవుడ్ సైన్స్ ఫిక్షన్ సినిమాల స్ఫూర్తి, అనుకరణ కనిపిస్తుంది అందులో. అయితే స్టాండర్డ్స్ పరంగా అంతర్జాతీయ స్థాయికి దగ్గరగా ఉంటూనే.. పక్కాగా మన నేటివిటీతో సూపర్ హీరో సినిమాగా హనుమాన్ ను చెప్పవచ్చు. అందుకు కారణం హనుమంతుడి చుట్టూ కథను నడపడమే. కొన్ని సినిమాలు ట్రైలర్లో వావ్ అనిపించి.. తెరమీద తుస్సుమనిపిస్తుంటాయి. హనుమాన్ అలాంటి సినిమా కాదు. ట్రైలర్లో వావ్ అనిపించిన మూమెంట్స్.. వాటి చుట్టూ బిల్డ్ చేసిన సన్నివేశాలతో తెరమీద మరింత ఆకర్షణంగా తయారయ్యాయి. ఉదాహరణకు హనుమంతుడి భారీ రూపం.. మనుషుల్ని కొడితే ఎగిరి ఆ భారీ హనుమంటుడి ముందు గాలిలోకి ఎగిరే దృశ్యం.. హీరో హెలికాప్టర్ ను చెట్టు వేరుతో లాగి పడేసే లాంటి సన్నివేశాలు.. పైపై మెరుగులు ఏమి కావు. తెరమీద అవి విజువల్ ట్రీట్ అనిపించేలా.. వాటిని చూస్తూ గూస్ బంప్స్ తెచ్చుకునే డిజైన్ చేసిన విధానం హనుమాన్ మూవీ లో మేజర్ హైలైట్. హనుమంతుడి ప్రస్తావన వచ్చినా.. ఆ రూపాన్ని చూపించినా.. తన ప్రభావం తెరపై కనిపించినా.. ఒక రకమైన ఉద్వేగం తెచ్చుకునేలా ఆయా సన్నివేశాలను దర్శకుడు ప్రశాంత్ వర్మ తీర్చిదిద్దాడు. కొన్ని దశాబ్దాల పాటు ఇలాంటి అద్భుతమైన క్యారెక్టర్ ను ఎందుకు మన దర్శకులు వాడుకోలేదు అని ఆశ్చర్యపోయేలా చేశాడు ప్రశాంత్.

హనుమాన్ లో ముందుగా విలన్ని పరిచయం చేశాక.. ఆరంభ సన్నివేశాల్లోనే హనుమంతుడి భారీ రూపాన్ని.. దాని చుట్టూ ఒక అందమైన ప్రపంచాన్ని చూపించి ప్రేక్షకులకు మంచి మూడ్ సెట్ చేస్తాడు ప్రశాంత్ వర్మ. తర్వాత హీరో పరిచయ సన్నివేశాలు.. అంజనాద్రి గ్రామంలో వ్యవహారాలతో కథనం కొంచెం నెమ్మదిస్తుంది. కానీ మరి ఆలస్యం చేయకుండా కథను మలుపు తిప్పేశాడు దర్శకుడు. హీరో హనుమంతుడి తాలూకు అద్భుత శక్తిని చేజిక్కించుకున్నాక వచ్చే ఫాంటసీ సన్నివేశాలు మంచి వినోదం పంచుతాయి. ఇక్కడి నుంచి కథనం చకచకా సాగిపోతుంది. హీరో తన శక్తిని చూపించే యాక్షన్ ఘట్టాలు గమ్మత్తుగా అనిపిస్తాయి. విజువల్ ట్రీట్ అనిపించేలా తీర్చిదిద్దిన ఇంటర్వెల్ ఎపిసోడ్ కూడా మంచి కిక్ ఇస్తుంది.

మంచి మలుపులతో, వినోదంతో, విజువల్ మాయాజాలంతో ఆకట్టుకునే ప్రథమార్ధం తర్వాత ద్వితీయార్ధం మీద మీద చాలా అంచనాలు పెట్టుకుంటాం. కానీ ఆ అంచనాలకు తగ్గట్లు రెండో అర్ధం సాగదు. విలన్ పాత్ర కొంచెం గజిబిజిగా సాగడం.. హీరో అక్క పాత్రతో బలవంతపు ఎమోషనల్ డ్రామాను నడిపించడం.. కొన్ని రొటీన్ సన్నివేశాలు సినిమా గ్రాఫ్ ను కొంచెం తగ్గిస్తాయి. కానీ సినిమా పూర్తిగా బోర్ కొట్టే పరిస్థితి అయితే ఉండదు. మధ్య మధ్యలో మెరుపులు వచ్చి ప్రేక్షకుల ఉత్సాహాన్ని నిలబెడతాయి. చివరి అరగంటలో హనుమాన్ మళ్లీ పతాక స్థాయిని అందుకుంటుంది. హనుమాన్ పాత్ర గొప్పతనాన్ని చాటుతూ.. దాని ప్రభావంతో సాగే క్లైమాక్స్ ప్రేక్షకులకు మంచి అనుభూతిని పంచుతుంది. అద్భుతమైన విజువల్ ఎఫెక్ట్స్ ప్రేక్షకులను మరో లోకంలో విహరింపచేస్తాయి. అంతకుముందు ఉన్న కొంత అసంతృప్తిని క్లైమాక్స్ భర్తీ చేస్తుంది. పతాక సన్నివేశాల్లో భారీతనానికి ఆశ్చర్యపోతాం. మనం చూస్తున్నది ఒక చిన్న సినిమా అన్న భావనే ఏ కోశానా కలగదు. ఒక విజువల్ వండర్ చూసిన అనుభూతితో ప్రేక్షకుల కడుపు నింపి పంపిస్తుంది హనుమాన్. పిల్లలకు మరింతగా నచ్చే ఈ సినిమా పెద్దలనూ సంతృప్తి పరుస్తుంది. కుటుంబ సమేతంగా చూడదగ్గ మంచి నేటివ్ సూపర్ హీరో సినిమా హనుమాన్.

హీరోగా ఇప్పటికే రెండు మూడు సినిమాలు చేసినప్పటికీ ఇంకా బాల నటుడు ఛాయలు పోని తేజ సజ్జను సూపర్ హీరో పాత్రలో చూసి అలవాటు పడటానికి కొంచెం సమయం పడుతుంది. కానీ అలవాటు పడ్డాక మాత్రం అతనితో సులువుగానే ప్రయాణం సాగిస్తాం. తేజ స్క్రీన్ ప్రెజెన్స్ బాగుంది. ఎక్కువగా విజువల్ ఎఫెక్ట్స్ తో ముడిపడ్డ సినిమాలో లేని ప్రపంచాన్ని ఊహించుకొని నటించడంలో తన ప్రతిభ చూపించాడు నటించడంలో తన ప్రతిభను చూపించాడు. అమృత అయ్యర్ హీరోయిన్ లాగా కాకుండా మామూలు అమ్మాయిలా కనిపించింది. కథలో తన పాత్రకు ప్రాధాన్యం తక్కువే. తన నటన బాగానే సాగింది. వరలక్ష్మీ శరత్ కుమార్ తన శైలికి భిన్నంగా పాజిటివ్ పాత్రలో కనిపించింది. తన నటన ఓకే. విలన్ పాత్రలో వినయ్ రాయ్ పెర్ఫామెన్స్ సినిమాలో మేజర్ హైలైట్. ఆ పాత్రకు ఒక వెయిట్ తెచ్చాడు. సముద్రఖని, వెన్నెల కిషోర్, గెటప్ శీను వీళ్లంతా తమ తమ పాత్రలో బాగానే నటించారు.

సాంకేతిక వర్గం:

హనుమాన్ చిత్రంలో సాంకేతిక విభాగాలన్నీ అదరగొట్టాయి. ఒక పెద్ద బడ్జెట్ సినిమా స్థాయిలో ఔట్ పుట్ కనిపించింది. హరి గౌర.. అనుదీప్ దేవ్.. కృష్ణ సౌరభ్.. ఈ ముగ్గురు కలిసి అందించిన సంగీతం సినిమాకు పెద్ద ప్లస్ అయింది. పాటలన్నీ కూడా సినిమాలు డ్రైవ్ చేయడంలో కీలకపాత్ర పోషించాయి. ముఖ్యంగా కొన్ని పాటలు, నేపథ్య సంగీతం ఒక డివైన్ ఫీలింగ్ కలిగిస్తాయి. ఈ మధ్య ఈ తరహా సినిమా అన్నది సంబంధం లేకుండా యాక్షన్ ఘట్టాలు అనగానే బ్యాగ్రౌండ్ స్కోర్లో శ్లోకాలు, మంత్రోక్షారణలతో హోరెత్తించేయడం ఫ్యాషన్ అయిపోయింది. కానీ హనుమాన్ కు మాత్రం ఆ తరహా స్కోర్ బాగా సూట్ అయింది. దాశరథి శివేంద్ర ఛాయాగ్రహణం కూడా ఆకట్టుకుంటుంది. విజువల్స్ బాగున్నాయి. అలాగే విజువల్ ఎఫెక్ట్స్ ఈ సినిమా స్థాయికి చాలా గొప్పగా అనిపిస్తాయి. పరిమిత బడ్జెట్లోనే మంచి అవుట్ పుట్ రాబట్టగలిగారు టెక్నీషియన్స్. ఇక దర్శకుడు ప్రశాంత్ వర్మ ఒక చిన్న స్థాయి విజువల్ వండర్ అందించాడు. అతడికి మంచి విజన్ ఉంది. దర్శకుడిగా తన పనితనం ప్రేక్షకులను ఆశ్చర్యపరుస్తుంది. రైటింగ్ పరంగా సాధారణంగా అనిపించినా ప్రెజెంటేషన్లో ప్రశాంత్ మార్కులు కొట్టేశాడు. నటీనటులతో పాటు టెక్నీషియన్ల నుంచి మంచి అవుట్ పుట్ రాబట్టుకోవడంలో ప్రశాంత్ ప్రతిభ కనిపిస్తుంది.
